What is included in the V10 Piston Set?

Every version of the V10 Piston Set contains ten T1-spec CP pistons for the 5.2 liter V10. The Base set has no wrist pins, Stage 1 adds CP wrist pins with a .240 inch wall, and Stage 2 adds C300 wrist pins. T1 does not list rings with the set.

What is the difference between Stage 1 and Stage 2?

Only the wrist pins. Stage 1 uses CP pins with a .240 inch wall that T1 Race Development rates for 2,000 hp, and Stage 2 uses C300 pins that T1 rates for 3,000 hp. The pistons, compression ratio and pin dimensions are identical across both sets.

What compression ratio do the pistons give?

T1 Race Development lists a 12.3:1 compression ratio for the set, with a .265 inch dome height and a 1.08 inch compression height. All three versions use the same piston, so the compression ratio does not change with the choice of wrist pins.

Which engines does the set fit?

T1 lists the pistons for the Audi and Lamborghini 5.2 liter V10, with a 3.327 inch bore and 92.8 mm stroke, and sells them for the LB724 Lamborghini Huracán and 4S Audi R8. Confirm any other 5.2 liter application with Bulletproof Automotive before ordering.

Why buy the Base set without pins?

The Base set suits builders who already have wrist pins or want to source a specific pin for their rotating assembly. The pin diameter is .787 inch and the length is 2.250 inch, so any pin used needs to match those dimensions for the T1 pistons.

Description

T1 Race Development V10 Piston Set for LB724 Lamborghini Huracán and 4S Audi R8

T1 Race Development’s V10 Piston Set for LB724 Lamborghini Huracán and 4S Audi R8 comprises ten T1-spec CP pistons for the Audi and Lamborghini 5.2 liter V10. All three versions share the same piston design and 12.3:1 compression ratio; they differ only in the wrist pins supplied, from none at all up to pins rated for 3,000 hp.

Choosing a Version

The Base set comes without wrist pins, for builders supplying their own. Stage 1 adds CP wrist pins with a .240 inch wall, which T1 rates for 2,000 hp. Stage 2 adds C300 wrist pins, which T1 rates for 3,000 hp, for the highest power builds. The pin diameter and length are the same across all three sets.

Design and Performance

T1 specifies the pistons with CP for the 5.2 liter V10’s 92.8 mm stroke, with a 3.327 inch bore size, a 1.08 inch compression height and a .265 inch dome. Keeping one piston across the range means a builder can choose the pin to match the power target and the rest of the rotating assembly without changing compression or dome shape.

About T1 Race Development

T1 Race Development was founded in Texas in 2005 by Tony Palo, whose 2000 Acura Integra GSR became the first eight-second front-wheel-drive street car before the shop turned its attention to the Nissan GT-R. T1 went on to become the first to exceed 230 mph in the half mile in a GT-R and the first to make 2,400 whp from the VR38DETT, and it now develops engines, drivetrain parts and complete builds for the R35 GT-R, Lamborghini Huracan and Audi R8.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
