What can the V10 Keypad Kit control?

Whatever the tuner assigns in the MoTeC ECU. T1 Race Development built the V10 Keypad Kit for quick map changes, traction control adjustment and similar functions, and all eight positions are configurable through the ECU rather than fixed in hardware.

Does the mount need any drilling?

No. The T1 buckle mount clicks into the passenger seat belt buckle socket, so it needs no cutting or drilling and leaves the interior unchanged. When it is not needed, the mount and keypad unbuckle and store in the glove box.

Why add a keypad if the car has steering wheel buttons?

On the R8 and on a Huracán with cruise control, some settings can be handled through the factory buttons. Many Huracáns were built without cruise control, though, which leaves few controls available to the driver, and the keypad adds eight configurable positions.

Which ECU does the kit work with?

It is designed for a MoTeC M1 ECU, using the T1 M1 V10 keypad harness and a MoTeC 8 position CAN keypad. Cars running another engine management system should check with Bulletproof Automotive before ordering, as the harness is specific to the T1 M1 installation.

What is included in the kit?

The kit includes a MoTeC 8 position CAN keypad with labels, the T1 M1 V10 keypad harness and the T1 buckle mount for the keypad. T1 Race Development designed the harness to be plug and play, so installation is mainly routing and connecting.

Description

T1 Race Development V10 Keypad Kit for LB724 Lamborghini Huracán and 4S Audi R8

T1 Race Development’s V10 Keypad Kit for LB724 Lamborghini Huracán and 4S Audi R8 puts a MoTeC 8 position CAN keypad within reach of the driver for changing maps, traction settings and other ECU functions on the move. On the R8, and on a Huracán with cruise control, some of this can run through the factory buttons, but many Huracáns left the factory without cruise control, which leaves the driver with very little to adjust from the seat.

Design and Performance

T1’s answer is a mount that clicks into the passenger seat belt buckle, so it needs no cutting or drilling and sits where the driver can reach it easily. When the car is not on track, the mount and keypad unbuckle and store in the glove box. Every button is configured by the tuner through the MoTeC ECU, and T1’s plug and play harness keeps the wiring straightforward.

About T1 Race Development

T1 Race Development was founded in Texas in 2005 by Tony Palo, whose 2000 Acura Integra GSR became the first eight-second front-wheel-drive street car before the shop turned its attention to the Nissan GT-R. T1 went on to become the first to exceed 230 mph in the half mile in a GT-R and the first to make 2,400 whp from the VR38DETT, and it now develops engines, drivetrain parts and complete builds for the R35 GT-R, Lamborghini Huracan and Audi R8.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
