What is done to the Race Heads for R35?

Every pair of T1 Race Heads for R35 is fully disassembled, cleaned and inspected, then CNC ported. The whole valvetrain is replaced with Ferrea parts, including 1 mm oversize Competition Plus valves, bronze guides, seals, dual springs, seat locators, valve locks and titanium retainers.

What does Race Stage 2 add?

Race Stage 2 includes all of the Stage 1 work and replaces both the intake and exhaust valve seats with custom beryllium copper seats. T1 Race Development aims Race Stage 2 at owners pushing the absolute limits of VR38 based performance, where the valve seats see the most heat and load.

Why CNC porting instead of hand porting?

CNC porting gives consistent results with equal flow in every port, every time. The ports are reshaped for more airflow, which T1 Race Development says improves power, torque and boost response compared with the factory heads. It is the same process on Race Stage 1 and Race Stage 2.

How much power do the heads add?

T1 Race Development notes that gains vary with many factors, but estimates that a Race Stage 1 head package with its GT1R camshafts generally adds around 75 to 125 hp, while improving response and widening the powerband considerably. The final figure depends on the rest of the engine and the calibration.

Do I need to send in my heads?

Yes, or a core charge is added for a new pair of heads and cam buckets. Both packages include setting valve lash if camshafts are supplied or purchased with the heads, and T1 recommends its GT1R camshafts for most builds from 800 to 2,500 hp.

Description

T1 Race Development GT1R Race Heads for R35 Nissan GT-R

T1 Race Development’s GT1R Race Heads for R35 Nissan GT-R are a pair of fully rebuilt VR38 cylinder heads, CNC ported and fitted with a complete Ferrea valvetrain, offered in two stages. Race Stage 1 is the head T1 puts on most of its own GT1R long blocks, and Race Stage 2 adds custom beryllium copper valve seats for engines at the limit of VR38 performance.

Design and Performance

Each pair is fully disassembled, cleaned and inspected before porting. CNC porting reshapes the intake and exhaust ports for more airflow, which brings power, torque and boost response, and unlike hand porting it gives the same flow in every port, every time. Every valvetrain part is replaced with Ferrea components: 1 mm oversize Competition Plus valves, bronze valve guides, seals, dual valve springs, seat locators, valve locks and titanium retainers.

Choosing a Stage

T1 has run Race Stage 1 heads beyond 9,500 rpm and 2,000 hp. Race Stage 2 keeps every Stage 1 modification and replaces both the intake and exhaust seats with custom beryllium copper valve seats.

Features

Complete teardown, cleaning and inspection
CNC ported intake and exhaust ports
Ferrea 1 mm oversize Competition Plus valves
Ferrea dual springs, titanium retainers and bronze guides

T1 estimates that Race Stage 1 Race Heads for R35 with GT1R camshafts generally add 75 to 125 hp, with gains varying by build

About T1 Race Development

T1 Race Development was founded in Texas in 2005 by Tony Palo, whose 2000 Acura Integra GSR became the first eight-second front-wheel-drive street car before the shop turned its attention to the Nissan GT-R. T1 went on to become the first to exceed 230 mph in the half mile in a GT-R and the first to make 2,400 whp from the VR38DETT, and it now develops engines, drivetrain parts and complete builds for the R35 GT-R, Lamborghini Huracan and Audi R8.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
