T1 Race Development’s GT1R Carbon Front Drag Brake Kit for R35 Nissan GT-R swaps the heavy factory front brakes for Strange 11 inch carbon rotors and Strange carbon pads, mounted with a T1 brake caliper adaptor. T1 lists the saving at 32 lb per side, 64 lb in total, and 18 lb per side compared with its own steel front drag brake kit.

Design and Performance

Weight at the front of a drag car is weight the tires have to carry and the suspension has to lift at the launch, and brakes are rotating mass too. Carbon rotors and pads from Strange cut that weight sharply for cars that stop with a parachute. The kit includes the rotors, pads, T1 caliper adaptor, brake lines and all fasteners.

Installation

About T1 Race Development

T1 Race Development was founded in Texas in 2005 by Tony Palo, whose 2000 Acura Integra GSR became the first eight-second front-wheel-drive street car before the shop turned its attention to the Nissan GT-R. Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days.
