T1 Race Development’s GT1R 4.1L Extreme Duty Stroker Kit for R35 Nissan GT-R is the rotating assembly T1 points to once a 4.1 liter VR38 is headed past the 1,300 whp limit of its standard stroker kit. It is built around a billet crankshaft with a 94.4 mm stroke, matched to GT1R spec Diamond pistons, Tri-beam 300M rods from Manley and DLC coated TP1 wrist pins, the heavier duty combination T1 calls the XT kit.

Design and Performance

Stroke is what turns the 3.8 liter VR38 into a 4.1: the billet crankshaft lengthens the stroke to 94.4 mm from the factory 88.4 mm, and the pistons are made to suit that geometry. The crank comes with an upgraded crank bolt and key, and custom rod bearings complete the assembly. Compared with the standard GT1R stroker kit, the XT version steps up to Tri-beam 300M rods and DLC coated pins for higher cylinder pressure.

About T1 Race Development

T1 Race Development was founded in Texas in 2005 by Tony Palo, whose 2000 Acura Integra GSR became the first eight-second front-wheel-drive street car before the shop turned its attention to the Nissan GT-R.
