SSR GTX04 19×8.5 5×114.3 is the dark gunmetal 19×8.5 build of the SSR GTX04, which SSR describes as unrivalled light weight model,. It is an one piece flow formed wheel running +45mm offset on a 5×114.3 pattern. Every SSR wheel is JWL tested before it is sold for road or track use, and this one is sold individually so you can order exactly the quantity and the widths your car needs.

Spoke

To reach the weight SSR wanted, the spoke cross section was made deliberately small and the top surface thinned so the spoke reads light. Ribs set one step down hold the rigidity that the thin section would otherwise give up.

Capless Center

Making the center cap optional let SSR suppress the thickness of the hub. Material is scraped from both the face and the mounting surface and the section thinned to the limit, which is where a large part of the weight comes out.

Face Depth

The spokes bridging rim and center are made as short as the target car’s brake size and clearance allow. Faces are offered in several depths, including SMI, CV and SC.

Rim Profile and Shot Peening

The rim is flow formed using SSR’s FFT-R process, which spins the inner barrel thinner than a conventional cast rim while gaining strength, and that is where most of the weight saving comes from. On top of that, material is cut from the back of each spoke after strength analysis and the surface then shot peened, which strengthens it. The cross section drops by about 13 percent and roughly 400 g per wheel comes out, varying by size.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts.
