Which S2000 model years does the Brake Hose Set for AP2 fit?

Go Tuning sells the Brake Hose Set for AP2 for US model years 2006 to 2009, and Spoon registers the JDM AP2 from November 2005 to September 2009. The 2004 and 2005 US cars are often called AP2, but Go Tuning places them under the AP1 set, so those owners should order that part.

Why are braided lines better than the factory hoses on track?

Repeated hard stops raise brake fluid temperature and line pressure, and a rubber hose expands more under both. The Spoon line uses a low-expansion Teflon tube inside a stainless mesh cover, which keeps its shape so the pedal stays firm and consistent from the first lap to the last.

Can I install the hoses myself?

A capable home mechanic can, but the work involves opening the hydraulic system at every corner, torquing fittings correctly and bleeding out all air afterwards. Any mistake affects the brakes directly, so BA recommends a shop with brake experience unless you are comfortable with the full procedure.

What is the outer cover made of?

The outer cover is stainless steel mesh, which shields the Teflon inner tube and holds it in shape under pressure. Spoon pairs it with steel end fittings for strength. Together they give the set a longer, more durable service life on a car that sees frequent brake maintenance than a soft rubber hose.

Does the set suit an AP2 used only on the road?

Yes, though the difference is smaller. On the road the firmer pedal makes modulation easier in traffic and on fast back roads. The real return comes on track or in heavy mountain driving, where factory rubber lines soften as heat builds and the Spoon lines do not.

Description

Spoon Sports Brake Hose Set for AP2 Honda S2000

Spoon Sports’ Brake Hose Set for AP2 S2000 is the late-car version of the Spoon braided line kit, registered for the JDM AP2 from November 2005 to the end of production in September 2009 and sold by Go Tuning for US model years 2006 to 2009. Its construction is the one Spoon uses across its Honda hose sets: a No. 3 Teflon inner tube chosen for its low expansion, armoured by stainless steel mesh and finished with steel fittings for strength. The AP2 carries the 2.2 liter F22C and the torque it brings, and owners who explore it on track ask more of the brakes than Honda planned for road use. Factory rubber lines flex under that pressure; the Spoon set resists it, giving a direct touch and a pedal that responds the moment the foot moves. Pair it with fresh fluid and a capable pad. On an AP2 that never leaves the road, the gain is subtle, but any owner who brakes late will notice it.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
