Rear toe is one of the more sensitive handling variables on the 996 and 997; a small amount of toe-in adds rear stability under trail braking and at corner entry, while toe change mid-session introduces unpredictability that is difficult to diagnose. The factory toe eccentric bolt at the rear toe arm relies on friction to hold its position. Under sustained high cornering loads on track, that friction can be overcome; the eccentric rotates, the toe arm connection angle changes, and the rear toe moves away from the value the car was aligned to. Handling consistency degrades without an obvious mechanical reason. The SPL ELT 996 toe eccentric lockout kit eliminates that failure mode at the rear toe arm position. CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum lockout plates replace the factory toe eccentric hardware at both rear corners, and class 10.9 metric bolts with lock nuts create mechanically fixed connections at the rear toe arm that cannot rotate under any load the 996 or 997 generates on track. The toe set at the alignment rack holds through every session until it is deliberately changed with an adjustable toe arm.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse.
