By replacing the restrictive factory “T” tip section with a smooth cast T304L stainless X-pipe, this assembly lets exhaust pulses cross over cleanly, reducing turbulence for better flow, a crisper, more refined exhaust note, and a subtle bump in response under throttle. The dual wall tips, finished in deep Black Chrome, deliver an upscale OEM-plus look that fills out the rear valance and hides soot better than lighter finishes, striking a balance between stealthy and premium. Development

• The factory “T” tip section in the Boxster / Cayman models allows exhaust gases to collide within the muffler before exiting the tips. This cost-cutting method creates turbulence, negatively impacting performance. To overcome this limitation, a smooth and cast X-pipe is integrated into the rear section, facilitating a more efficient flow path for the exhaust gases. This improvement results in a small increase in gas mileage during cruising and enhanced power when accelerating aggressively.
• The casting of the interior of the X-pipe is designed to be smooth, without any protrusions from welds. This is in contrast to non-cast designs that have been known to fail at this point due to stress and potential welding issues. • To optimize flow, a cast T304L stainless steel X-pipe is utilized, featuring a smooth inner wall and clean “X” section. This design ensures maximum flow efficiency. You can personalize your exhaust to your liking by selecting from a range of single-wall 321 stainless tips, available in slash cut or straight cut styles, or opt for chrome double-wall tips in various finishes. For those seeking lightweight options, titanium single wall tips are also available, offering a weight reduction of nearly one pound compared to stainless steel tips.
• To maintain the highest quality standards, each component undergoes rigorous quality checks, is tested in a fixture to ensure perfect fitment, and is then carefully foam packed to ensure it arrives in impeccable condition.
