Does the SOUL Performance Valved Sport Exhaust fit my Urus?

It fits the Lamborghini Urus from 2018 onward with the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8. One important exception: it is not compatible with vehicles equipped with the factory Akrapovic exhaust system, which includes the Urus Performante and any Urus or Urus S optioned with factory Akrapovic. Confirm your current exhaust before ordering.

How does it change the sound?

The system has two modes. With the valves closed it runs through a chambered muffler with an internal X-pipe for a refined tone with controlled drone, suited to cruising. With the valves open it switches to 2.5-inch piping for a louder, deeper, higher-pitched note. SOUL calls the two modes mild and wild.

Does it require a tune?

No. The SOUL Performance Valved Sport Exhaust is a direct bolt-on and does not require an ECU tune to function. It works with the vehicle's existing engine management and factory valve operation. Many owners pair it with other upgrades, but none are required for the exhaust to perform as designed.

What is it made from?

It is built from mandrel-bent .065-inch wall T304L stainless steel, back-purged and TIG-welded with ARCAL Prime argon for durability and corrosion resistance. It uses a bespoke chambered muffler rather than a perforated-core design, and SOUL fabricates every unit in-house in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania.

Is professional installation required?

Installation involves cutting the factory exhaust, so SOUL recommends fitment by a qualified technician rather than a driveway install. Detailed instructions are included in the box, and the system is a direct fit with no permanent changes to the vehicle beyond the exhaust section itself. SOUL backs it with a fitment guarantee.

Can I make it quieter for daily driving?

Yes. With the valves closed, the exhaust routes through the chambered muffler and anti-drone X-pipe for a civil, cruise-friendly tone, noticeably calmer than open-valve mode. That dual-mode design is the point of the system: aggressive when you want it, refined when you do not.

Description

SOUL Performance Valved Sport Exhaust System for Lamborghini Urus

SOUL Performance Products’ Sport Valved Exhaust System for the Lamborghini Urus is designed to unlock a richer, more characterful twin-turbo V8 soundtrack while preserving day-to-day civility through factory-style valve control. With valves closed, exhaust gases are routed through a bespoke SOUL chambered muffler featuring an internal X-pipe, carefully engineered to increase tone and presence inside the cabin while keeping drone in check for comfortable highway cruising. Open the valves and flow is directed through freer-flowing 2.5″ piping for a thunderous, higher-pitched roar that suits the Urus’ super-SUV performance, with secondary flow through the muffler and X-pipe smoothing rasp and sharpening the exhaust note. Each system is built in-house at SOUL’s Willow Grove, Pennsylvania facility from thick-wall.065″ T304L stainless steel, using mandrel bends, back-purged TIG welds with ARCAL Prime argon, and robust aluminum fixtures to ensure repeatable fitment, durability, and a modest weight savings over the factory rear section. The result is a true dual-personality exhaust, stealthy and composed in “valves closed” mode, wild and engaging with the valves open, all backed by SOUL Performance Products’ renowned Lifetime Warranty for confident enjoyment on both street and track.

Development Goals

Enhance the V8 tone by surpassing the factory design to elevate and refine it.
Amplify the presence and personality of the exhaust note within the cabin, while simultaneously managing a moderate level of resonance or drone during both the valves closed and open modes, utilizing our distinctive anti-drone technology.
Intensify the aggressive nature when the valves are open while ensuring that the overall sound level potential and quality remain suitable for street driving, especially when combined with other compatible aftermarket exhaust components like Sport Downpipes.
Provide the capability to significantly decrease the exterior sound level of the vehicle, allowing it to go unnoticed when required.
Attain a noticeable contrast in sound between the two modes, resulting in two well-crafted and practical experiences: a mild and a wild option.

Research & Development

When the valves are closed, the exhaust system is directed through a specially crafted SOUL-chambered muffler, which incorporates an internal X-Pipe to meet their desired sound objectives. This unique muffler design reflects their renowned expertise in creating mufflers that effectively combat drone issues, as seen in the Porsche community. While they also tested a more traditional perforated core muffler design, the carefully engineered chambers of the final muffler deliver a more aggressive sound during acceleration and deceleration while minimizing undesirable tones.
With the valves open, the exhaust flow freely passes through 2.5″ piping, resulting in a thunderous roar. The muffler and X-Pipe facilitate secondary flow, reducing raspiness and refining the exhaust note, producing a higher-pitched, more polished sound. Consequently, two distinct and enjoyable sound modes are achieved, a mild option and a wild one.

Construction

Every exhaust system is meticulously crafted in-house, utilizing mandrel bent, thick-walled.065″ T304L stainless steel. The welding process employs back purged TIG welding with ARCAL Prime argon gas to guarantee proper weld penetration and long-lasting durability. To maintain precision fitment, they employ robust aluminum fixtures of substantial gauge, which also serve as effective heat sinks during welding, preventing warping not only of their products but also the fixtures themselves. Prior to shipping, each system undergoes a thorough quality check and is meticulously packed in foam to ensure flawless condition upon arrival. Installation necessitates cutting the original exhaust, but worry not, as comprehensive installation instructions are included in the package. These instructions are designed to facilitate a straightforward installation process that can be undertaken by most DIY enthusiasts.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. Please review the full Terms & Conditions here.

BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
