Built from mandrel-bent T304L stainless steel with free-flowing 2.5-inch over-axle piping and proprietary mufflers, the system replaces the restrictive factory exhaust to enhance throttle response and overall acoustics. With the valves closed, the exhaust produces a refined, controlled tone with minimal drone for everyday driving; when the valves open, it delivers a fuller, more aggressive, motorsport-inspired sound that showcases the flat-six’s natural voice. The system installs as a direct bolt-on solution, includes valve control hardware for vehicles without Porsche Sport Exhaust or for enhanced control on PSE-equipped cars, and comes with detailed instructions for straightforward installation. Finished with chrome dual-wall tips in polished chrome, it blends aggressive styling with refined craftsmanship, and like all SOUL Performance products, it is covered by a lifetime warranty for street and track use.

Development

SOUL Performance developed a dedicated 987.2 application with correctly sized 2 inch runners and optimized collectors to extract maximum power from the 3.4L engine while still delivering strong gains on the 2.9L. During Dynojet testing on SOUL’s project Cayman S (PDK), peak gains of 8whp and 11ft-lbs of torque were recorded at 4,100rpm. Even greater results can be achieved when paired with a proper tune, as shown on the dyno chart.

Construction

Each SOUL Performance system is constructed from mandrel-bent T304L stainless steel tubing with 2.5-inch over-axle piping and fortified muffler casings engineered for long-term durability. When the valves are closed, exhaust gases are routed through the SOUL muffler, which is packed with high-quality sound-deadening material designed to withstand sustained use without degradation, resulting in exceptional drone control. As the exhaust flows through the muffler, gases exit through perforations into the outer piping, while opening the valves allows exhaust gases to exit freely through the large 2.5-inch piping; the perforated design enables interaction with the muffler to produce a fuller, deeper, and more robust exhaust tone.

Special order items from overseas take considerably longer.
