SOUL Performance’s Valve Delete Modules for 992.2 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS and Turbo S solve a specific problem on the T-Hybrid cars: the factory exhaust valves are electronically controlled and hard to work around, and removing them normally throws a check engine light. These plug-in modules mirror the factory valve signals so the ECU reads the valves as present and operating, which lets you run a race or straight-pipe setup that forgoes the valves entirely, cleanly and without a fault. Originally developed for the 992 GT3 platform and proven on the T-Hybrid cars, they install in minutes, reverse just as quickly, and are designed and built in-house in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania.

Why They Exist

Even with PSE activated, the factory exhaust valves on the 992.2 Carrera GTS and Turbo S do not fully open until around 5,000 rpm, and the electronically actuated design is harder to control than the setups on earlier cars. For owners running a race system or a straight-pipe muffler setup that does away with the valves, that electronic control is a roadblock, because pulling the valve motors sets a check engine light. SOUL built these modules to remove that roadblock.

How They Work

The modules plug in and mirror the factory valve signals, so the ECU reads the valves as still connected and operating normally even once they are gone. That keeps the dash clear of a check engine light and lets a valveless race or straight-pipe setup run as intended. They can also be used to hold the factory valves open, and because they simply plug in, they install in minutes and come back out just as easily if you return the car to stock.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do the SOUL Performance Valve Delete Modules for 992.2 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS and Turbo S fit both cars? Yes. They fit all T-Hybrid 992.2 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS and Turbo S models worldwide. The modules plug into the factory valve wiring, so they suit both the single-turbo Carrera GTS and the twin-turbo Turbo S without any car-specific hardware changes.
What do the Valve Delete Modules do? They mirror the factory exhaust valve signals so the ECU reads the valves as present and operating normally, even after the valves are removed. That lets you run a race or straight-pipe setup that forgoes the valves without setting a check engine light. They can also be used to hold the factory valves open at all times.
Will removing the factory valves throw a check engine light without these? Yes, typically it will. The 992.2 T-Hybrid cars monitor the electronically actuated valves, so pulling the valve motors normally triggers a check engine light. These modules prevent that by mirroring the valve signals back to the ECU, which is what makes a clean valveless setup possible.
Are they easy to install and reversible? Yes. The modules plug in and install in minutes, with an install guide provided, and they are fully reversible if you return the car to stock. Because they are a simple plug-in, no cutting or permanent wiring changes are needed.
Do I need these if I buy the SOUL Muffler Bypass Pipes? No. The SOUL Muffler Bypass Pipes already include their own valve delete modules. Buy these separately when you are building a race or straight-pipe system that does not come with modules, or when you need them for the Carrera GTS.
Do they require a tune? SOUL does not list a tune as required. These are a plug-in signal module rather than a software change, so they address the check engine light from removed valves directly. A tune may still be worthwhile for other reasons, but it is not needed for the modules to do their job.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
