Which Porsche models does it fit?

It fits the 982-chassis Porsche 718 Boxster and Cayman with the turbocharged flat-four engines, the 2.0 liter base and T and the 2.5 liter S and GTS, from 2017 to 2025 depending on the model, in both manual and PDK cars. It does not fit the 4.0 liter flat-six GT4, Spyder, or GTS 4.0.

How loud is it, and can I drive it on the street?

It is very loud. This is a straight-pipe system with no mufflers or resonators, so expect strong snarl, crackle, burble, and backfire, and a high cabin volume that can be too intrusive for daily driving. It is intended for off-road and competition use, and SOUL's Valved Exhaust is the better choice if you want a quieter, drone-free setup.

No. The Track Package is a valveless, straight-through system built for maximum flow and the most aggressive sound, with no mufflers or resonators to quiet it down. If you want a system with valve control that can switch between quiet and loud, look at SOUL's Valved Exhaust instead.

Is an ECU tune required?

A tune is not required to fit the package, but it is highly recommended. The Competition Downpipe frees up significant flow, which can cause boost spikes, and an ECU tune manages that, realizes the full gains, and clears any check engine light. Most owners running this package pair it with a tune.

Is professional installation recommended?

Yes. The package is a direct bolt-on with new hardware, gaskets, and laser-cut brackets for manual and PDK cars, and experienced enthusiasts can fit it, but SOUL recommends professional installation for correct fitment and a proper seal across the downpipe and exhaust.

SOUL Performance Track Exhaust Package with Single Wall Tips for 982 Porsche 718 Boxster / Cayman

SOUL Performance engineered the Track Package for the Porsche 718 Boxster and Cayman(2017+) as a purpose-built, straight-through dual exhaust solution for drivers who want maximum turbo character, sharper response, and a truly aggressive, track-focused sound. In this manual-transmission configuration, finished with Straight Cut Single Wall tips in Signature Satin, the package combines SOUL Performance’s Competition Downpipe with the SOUL Performance Exhaust to upgrade the restrictive downpipe and deliver a major increase in snarls, crackles, burbles, and backfires, while the dual-pipe layout helps bring out a more distinctly Porsche-like boxer rumble. Constructed from mandrel-bent T304L stainless steel with 2.5-inch OD over-axle piping, thick cast flanges, durable flex sections, and bespoke mounting brackets, the system is designed for long-term durability and reduced NVH under demanding use, while providing an 18-21lb weight savings versus the factory base / PSE exhaust. Because the package eliminates mufflers and resonators, cabin presence is significantly increased and overall volume is very high, making it best suited for enthusiasts prioritizing performance and excitement over daily-driver subtlety. SOUL Performance includes new hardware and gaskets, fixture-tests each exhaust to verify proper fitment, foam packs the components for safe delivery, and backs the package with a lifetime warranty. Due to the increased exhaust flow, SOUL Performance strongly recommends an ECU tune to address potential boost spikes and to reduce the likelihood of a check engine light from the competition downpipe, and the package is intended for race / competition use only and is not CARB certified.

Development

SOUL Performance recognized that the 718 platform’s extensive sound deadening, combined with the turbocharger, creates a mellow cabin experience with both the base exhaust and Porsche Sport Exhaust (PSE). For drivers who want a more aggressive character, SOUL Performance developed an aggressive system designed for aggressive use. After Suncoast Parts sought a more durable solution for a track vehicle that experienced an exhaust failure with another brand, SOUL Performance strengthened its Performance Exhaust to excel under sustained racetrack conditions. Flex sections in the over-axle piping and bespoke mounting brackets for both manual and PDK transmissions promote long-term durability while reducing NVH. By Upgrading the restrictive downpipe, the system improves drivability and unlocks the turbo’s character with a major increase in snarling and crackles. Smooth mandrel-bent piping that transitions from 90 mm down to dual 55 mm outlets helps sharpen throttle response and deliver a more exciting exhaust note. Designed to bolt on with no modifications, it offers a straightforward, reversible way to make the 718 Boxster or Cayman more engaging, and SOUL Performance strongly recommends an ECU tune to help prevent boost spikes that can result from the significant increase in exhaust flow. The dual-pipe layout further promotes a smoother, more refined rumble than single-pipe conversions, producing a more distinctly Porsche engine note.

Sound

During development, SOUL Performance repeatedly heard feedback that this was among the best-sounding 718 exhaust setups enthusiasts had experienced and SOUL Performance agrees. The system delivers an impressive level of snarling and crackling that carries from a distance. Because it eliminates mufflers and resonators, it adds the in-cabin presence that is largely missing from the factory setup, and when paired with a competition downpipe, overall volume will be on the loud side. As a straight-pipe-style configuration, it is designed to sound and perform accordingly, making it ideal for drivers seeking an invigorating, track-focused experience, though it may be too intrusive for casual daily use. For customers looking for an absolutely drone-free setup with an aftermarket downpipe, SOUL Performance recommends the Valved Exhaust System.

Bolt On and Go

Each SOUL Performance system is constructed from mandrel-bent T304L stainless steel tubing with 2.5-inch over-axle piping and fortified muffler casings engineered for long-term durability. With the valves closed, exhaust gases are directed through the SOUL muffler, which is packed with high-quality sound-deadening material designed to withstand sustained use without blowout, resulting in exceptional drone suppression and a refined driving experience. When the valves are opened, exhaust gases are allowed to exit freely through large 2.5-inch piping, while integrated perforations enable interaction with the muffler, producing a fuller, deeper, and more robust exhaust tone that highlights the character of the engine.

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. In short, prices may change without notice. It is always advised to give us a call prior to placing your order online to confirm availability and to confirm current pricing.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
