Designed for 1994–1996.5 cars with Bischoff flanges and OBD1 (single O2 sensor), this system integrates high-flow HJS 200-cell catalytic converters into a 2.5-inch T304L stainless X-pipe section to reduce back pressure, sharpen throttle response, and deliver a richer, more aggressive flat-six soundtrack  all without triggering a check engine light. A centrally located O2 bung ensures the ECU sees accurate readings from all cylinders for consistent power, while the lightweight assembly trims over 6lbs compared to the stock components. Each unit is designed and built in-house, fixture-checked for precise fitment, and backed by SOUL Performance’s renowned Lifetime Warranty for both street and track use.

Development

• A comprehensive reevaluation of the 993 Carrera prompted SOUL to engineer top-of-the-line exhaust components. By employing large diameter 2.5″ piping, they achieved optimal power gains surpassing those of the factory system, making it an ideal choice for engine builds with increased displacement. The OBD1 variants feature a centrally located single O2 bung, ensuring accurate readings from all cylinders and resulting in consistent and exceptional performance. In contrast, a design compromised system catering to both OBD1 and OBD2 would involve a plugged bung and an offset O2 sensor primarily monitoring one bank of cylinders, leading to performance variations.

Construction

• Every exhaust system is meticulously assembled using robust, thick-wall 2.5″ diameter .065″ T304L stainless steel, and undergoes rigorous in-house quality checks. The inclusion of smooth mandrel bends and sturdy flanges guarantees the longevity of the product. To ensure impeccable fitment, each component is meticulously tested in a fixture, and for their protection, they are carefully foam packed, ensuring they arrive in pristine condition.

HJS Catalysts

• SOUL employs the utmost quality catalytic converters renowned for their exceptional flow and durability, setting an industry standard. These converters possess remarkable efficiency, meeting stringent EURO 3 emission standards, while simultaneously enabling improved flow and significantly reducing the likelihood of triggering a check engine light. Power

• Through independent dyno testing and averaging the results of three runs, it was discovered that the exhaust system offers peak gains of 8whp and 8ft-lbs of torque. Additionally, significant power gains of over 15whp in the upper midrange were observed, contributing to a more enjoyable street driving experience. It is worth noting that these gains can be further enhanced with an ECU tune.
