Construction

• Each set of catalytic converters is meticulously assembled in-house in the USA using mandrel bent, thick wall .065″ T304L stainless steel. To ensure proper weld penetration and longevity, back purged TIG welding techniques are employed. SOUL Performance takes great care during fabrication by utilizing thick gauge aluminum fixtures, which act as efficient heat sinks during the welding process. This not only prevents warping of their products but also maintains the integrity of the fixtures themselves, guaranteeing a perfect fitment.
• Considering the proximity of the catalytic converters to sensitive components, it is crucial to have heat shields in place for the C8 Corvette. To provide a superior heat shielding solution, SOUL Performance has partnered with PTP Turbo Blankets. The bespoke heat shields offered by PTP are custom-made and form-fitting to suit the specific requirements of the C8. These heat shields, constructed with an outer layer made from pulverized volcanic lava rock (rated 1800°F for direct heat and 2500°F for radiant heat), are woven into a tight mesh weave fabric. Internally, they are insulated with high-temperature calcium magnesium silicate wool (rated 1832°F continuous and 2300°F peak), overlaid with a high-temperature stainless steel mesh. This design ensures increased durability and improved thermal resistance. HJS HD 200-Cell Catalysts

• The catalytic converters utilized are the epitome of quality, renowned for their unrivaled flow characteristics and exceptional durability. These converters feature a premium wash coat infused with precious metals, allowing them to efficiently catalyze and meet stringent EURO 4 emission standards, all while permitting increased flow without triggering a check engine light. The HD design incorporates a robust triple foil winding, ensuring maximum strength and resilience. An additional feature, the brazing stripe, is included to enhance durability by preventing core movement or damage from sustained high horsepower abuse.

Power

• Third-party testing was conducted at Dynosty on a Dynojet Dyno to assess the performance impact. The baseline power measurements, using the factory exhaust, recorded 453whp and 427ft-lbs of torque. Upon incorporating the SOUL Sport Catalytic Converters, the power increased to 470whp and 447ft-lbs of torque, resulting in remarkable peak gains of 17whp and 20ft-lbs of torque.
