SOUL Performance Sport Cat X-Pipe for 992.2 Porsche 911 Turbo S

SOUL Performance’s Sport Cat X-Pipe for 992.2 Porsche 911 Turbo S is the heart of the exhaust upgrade for the first hybrid 911 Turbo S, the section where flow, sound and response are won or lost. Designed and hand-built in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, it opens a larger-diameter path than the Factory Equipment and routes it through a 3D metal printed 316L XY-pipe developed over nine revisions. The Sport Cat configuration carries high-flow SOUL catalysts and is engineered to match the factory pressure and sensor behavior so it runs cleanly without a tune, while the Competition configuration is a free-flow Race X-pipe for closed-course use. Either way, this is the rare component fabricated and finished to a standard the 701 hp T-Hybrid deserves.

Construction

The XY-pipe and cat housings are 3D metal printed in 316L stainless steel in-house, which lets SOUL build endcap and core geometry that cannot be bent or welded by hand. Connecting tubing is mandrel-bent from .065 inch wall T304L stainless for a full-diameter path, and every joint is back-purged TIG welded with ARCAL Prime argon over thick aluminum heat-sink fixtures that keep the parts from warping as they cool. Mounting brackets are water-jet cut to ISO 9001:2015 standards and held to a ±0.003 inch tolerance, so the X-pipe indexes to the factory hangers and O2 sensor locations and bolts on cleanly.

Sound and Response

On the street the Sport Cat configuration stays civil, with low cabin drone, light deceleration crackle and a quiet highway cruise that opens to a louder, fuller tone under full throttle. The larger-diameter path and high-flow SOUL catalysts free up airflow in comparison to the Factory Equipment, which sharpens throttle response and builds midrange pull. SOUL notes that factory torque management caps how much of that midrange shows up on an untuned car, and its tuning partner M-Engineering reports gains across the band once a compatible tune is added.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the SOUL Performance Sport Cat X-Pipe for 992.2 Porsche 911 Turbo S fit every model? Yes. It fits all 2026 and later 992.2 Porsche 911 Turbo S T-Hybrid models worldwide, in both coupe and cabriolet body styles. The X-pipe indexes to the factory hangers, reuses the factory heat shields and retains the factory O2 sensor locations, so it bolts on without cutting or permanent modification to the car.
What is the difference between the Sport Cat and Competition X-Pipe? The Sport Cat X-Pipe carries high-flow SOUL catalysts and is engineered to match the factory pressure and sensor behavior, so it runs on the stock programming with no tune. The Competition X-Pipe is a free-flow Race pipe for closed-course use and requires an accompanying ECU tune to run correctly. Both share the same 3D-printed XY-pipe and construction.
Do I need a tune for the SOUL X-Pipe? It depends on the version. The Sport Cat X-Pipe is designed to run cleanly on the factory programming with no tune, since it matches the factory pressure differentials and sensor behavior. The Competition X-Pipe requires an accompanying ECU tune for closed-course use. In both cases a compatible tune unlocks more of the midrange that factory torque management otherwise caps.
Can I run the X-Pipe with the factory mufflers? Yes. The Sport Cat X-Pipe bolts to the factory muffler section for a strong upgrade on its own, and it also pairs with the SOUL Valved Sport Mufflers for the complete Valved Exhaust Package. Running the X-pipe alone sharpens response and opens the tone, while adding the valved mufflers gives you two selectable sound modes.
What is the SOUL Performance Sport Cat X-Pipe for 992.2 Porsche 911 Turbo S made from? The XY-pipe and cat housings are 3D metal printed in 316L stainless steel in-house, and the connecting tubing is mandrel-bent from .065 inch wall T304L stainless. Every joint is back-purged TIG welded with ARCAL Prime argon over aluminum heat-sink fixtures, and the brackets are water-jet cut to a ±0.003 inch tolerance. Each X-pipe is hand-built in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania.
How much power does the SOUL X-Pipe add on the 992.2 Turbo S? On SOUL’s development car, measured on 93 octane with the full exhaust system, testing at Vollux Autowerks recorded gains of more than 92 lb-ft at 2,500 rpm and roughly 51 wheel horsepower and 44 lb-ft at 6,000 rpm, with most of the gain coming from the X-pipe. Factory torque management limits untuned midrange, so a matching tune builds on these figures.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
