SOUL Performance Resonated Muffler Bypass for F06 / F12 / F13 BMW M6
The SOUL Performance Resonated Muffler Bypass for the F06, F12, and F13 BMW M6 unlocks the voice BMW buried under 32 pounds of restrictive factory silencing. SOUL hand-builds the section in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania from 3-inch, mandrel-bent T304L stainless steel, fixture-tests every set before it ships, and stands behind the original owner with a lifetime materials and workmanship warranty for street and track use. Rather than trading the M6’s refinement for constant highway boom, straight-through race resonators hold the S63 twin-turbo V8’s tone and authority under throttle while stripping out the harsh frequencies that turn an open exhaust into a drone box at a cruise. It clamps on at the factory break point, sheds nearly 15 pounds, and leaves the car fully reversible, the kind of considered engineering a six-figure M-car deserves.
Development and Testing
SOUL developed the Resonated Muffler Bypass to give the M6 a genuine twin-turbo V8 presence without the drone that pushes owners back to stock, and the answer was resonator science rather than a hollow straight pipe: full metal-packed, straight-through race resonators that cut the offending frequencies while leaving the engine’s character intact, with every set validated on a fixture for fit before it leaves the building.
Construction
Each section is mandrel-bent from 3-inch T304L stainless steel with a 0.065-inch wall for strength and clean, unrestricted flow, routed through straight-through race resonators and a cast Y-section with a smooth interior path and a knife-edged split that exits through quad tips. Laser-cut brackets locate the system precisely, and the bypass clamps onto the factory pipes at a dimpled break point, so the original mufflers can be cut out and later reinstalled if the car is ever returned to stock. The quad 3.5-inch tips are single-wall, adjustable for a flush or staggered look, and offered in Straight Cut or Slash Cut across Signature Satin, Brushed, and Satin Black finishes.
Bolt-On and Go
Each set is test-fit in a dedicated fixture and packed with printed installation instructions, and most mechanically confident owners complete the clamp-on install in a couple of hours with the car raised; cutting at the marked factory break point is what keeps the swap reversible.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will the SOUL Performance Resonated Muffler Bypass fit my M6? Yes. The SOUL Performance Resonated Muffler Bypass fits the F06 Gran Coupe, F12 Convertible, and F13 Coupe BMW M6 from 2013 to 2019 with the 4.4L twin-turbo V8. It clamps onto the factory pipes at a marked break point, so no welding is required, and the cut leaves the original mufflers able to be reinstalled later.
Will it drone on the highway? SOUL built this around straight-through race resonators specifically to avoid that. The resonators cut the harsh frequencies that cause cabin drone at partial throttle and steady cruising while keeping the twin-turbo V8’s tone and authority under hard throttle, which is where a hollow straight pipe fails.
Does the muffler bypass add horsepower? It is primarily a sound and weight upgrade. Removing the heavy, restrictive factory mufflers frees exhaust flow and drops nearly 15 pounds, but meaningful power on the S63 comes from a tune and the rest of the exhaust. On its own, expect sharper sound and a lighter car rather than big dyno numbers.
Can I put the factory exhaust back on later? Yes. The system is cut in at a dimpled factory break point and clamps on, so a shop can remove the bypass and reinstall the original mufflers. This matters for owners who lease, plan to sell, or want to return the car to stock for service.
What is the SOUL Performance Resonated Muffler Bypass made from? It is mandrel-bent from 3-inch T304L stainless steel with a 0.065-inch wall, straight-through metal-packed race resonators, a cast Y-section, and laser-cut brackets. SOUL backs the original owner with a lifetime warranty on materials and workmanship for street and track use.
What tip finishes are available? The quad 3.5-inch tips are single-wall stainless in Straight Cut or Slash Cut, finished in Signature Satin, Brushed, or Satin Black, and they adjust for a flush or staggered look. Satin Black is offered on the Straight Cut tip. Choose the cut and finish on the product page to match your car.

Shipping Policy
-+
Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well.
For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
