Which Porsche 911 models does the RS Style Gear Selector fit?

The RS Style Gear Selector fits all 992 Porsche 911 models equipped with the factory PDK lever gear selector, model years 2018 to 2025. It does not fit manual-transmission 911s or the earlier 991 and 997 generations. If your 992 has the electronic lever selector between the seats, this is the correct part.

Does it replace the whole selector or only the grip?

It replaces the factory PDK selector lever with a reshaped unit styled after Porsche's RS manual shifters. The change is to the lever you grip, giving a shorter and more deliberate feel in the hand. The PDK transmission and its shift logic are not altered in any way.

How hard is the installation?

Installation is a do-it-yourself job that most owners complete at home with hand tools. SOUL supplies a step-by-step install guide with the selector, and no cutting or permanent modification is needed. Work carefully around the center console trim and set aside unhurried time for the job.

What materials and colors are available?

You choose from suede, leather, gloss carbon fiber, or matte carbon fiber, each paired with white, yellow, or red gear lettering. Suede and leather give a warmer grip, while gloss and matte carbon fiber suit owners matching existing carbon fiber interior trim in the cabin.

Where is it made and is it guaranteed?

SOUL Performance hand-builds each RS Style Gear Selector in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, and backs it with a lifetime warranty to the original owner. That warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship for both street and track use, so hard driving does not void your coverage.

Is it sold as one piece, and what comes in the box?

Each listing is a single gear selector, finished to the material and lettering color you select, and supplied with SOUL's printed install guide. Choose your material and lettering before adding it to the cart so the correct variation is built and shipped to you.

Description

SOUL Performance Handball RS Style Gear Selector for 992 Porsche 911

SOUL Performance’s Handball RS Style Gear Selector for the 992 Porsche 911 addresses PDK owners’ dissatisfaction with the factory lever, which feels out of place. Crafted in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, this selector transforms the PDK lever into a shorter, more purposeful design reminiscent of Porsche’s RS manual shifters, enhancing the tactile experience. Each unit is customizable in suede, leather, or carbon fiber, with various gear letter colors, making it a refined upgrade for those who value interior details as much as performance.

RS-Inspired Design

Porsche reserves its most involving controls for its RS models, and the Handball selector borrows that language for the 992. In place of the tall, softly rounded factory lever, it fits a compact, purposeful grip that sits lower and firmer in the hand, echoing the short-throw shifters enthusiasts associate with the brand’s purest cars. The result changes nothing about how the PDK works and everything about how it feels to use, turning a routine pull into a deliberate, tactile motion each time you select a gear.

Construction

SOUL finishes every selector by hand in its Willow Grove, Pennsylvania workshop, wrapping it in suede, leather, or real carbon fiber in a gloss or matte weave to match the cabin it lives in. The gear lettering is applied in white, yellow, or red so the detail reads cleanly against any of the finishes. Because each unit is built to the chosen specification rather than pulled from a shelf, the piece your hand meets most often is made to your taste rather than the factory’s.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
