Built around lightweight, robust construction with full 2.5″ over-axle piping and precision-fabricated T304L stainless steel tubing, this race-focused exhaust is designed to shed weight and stand up to the rigors of competitive driving.Developed in-house at SOUL’s Willow Grove, PA facility, the system includes bespoke laser-cut brackets and reinforced hangers that reduce weight and improve resilience under high-stress conditions, while rubber vibration dampeners help protect the system against flex and vibration during heavy use. Unlike street-oriented exhausts, the Race Exhaust System prioritizes performance over sound attenuation, producing a very loud, unrestrained exhaust note with track-ready character. It is recommended for aggressive track use and may not be suited for street applications, especially when paired with aftermarket headers. Direct bolt-on installation is supported with quality-checked fitment and hardware, and the system is backed by SOUL Performance’s lifetime warranty for both street and track use. Multiple tip options, including Slash Cut Signature Satin finishes, allow you to tailor the rear aesthetic of your GT4 or Spyder.

Development

• SOUL Performance set out to develop lightweight, robust, and cost-effective exhaust components for the GT4 that are readily available, deliver strong performance, and are built for long-term durability. Drawing on extensive feedback and in-depth R&D discussions with experienced shops, technicians, and drivers who conducted independent testing over many years—including valuable contributions from Bryan Schute at Speed Sport Tuning and the team at LN Engineering / BRS—SOUL Performance formulated a focused development strategy for a truly track-bred exhaust system.

Construction

• The over-axle pipe profiles feature a full 2.5-inch diameter and are engineered to provide ample clearance for axles and sway bar end links, even on heavily modified or lowered vehicles. To address the failures commonly seen with exhaust systems that rely on welded hangers under racing conditions, SOUL Performance developed a bespoke mounting solution that reduces weight by more than five pounds compared to factory mounts while remaining easy to repair or replace in the event of a track incident. The forward piping is secured to a custom SOUL transmission mounting brace using heavy-duty Mikalor band clamps, while additional support for the over-axle piping is provided through rubber vibration dampeners to reduce stress caused by flex and vibration throughout the system. Each system is fabricated in-house by the SOUL Performance team using mandrel-bent .065-inch wall, 2.5-inch diameter T304L stainless steel tubing. Laser-cut brackets are press-brake formed and TIG welded for maximum strength, with all welds back-purged to ensure long-term durability under the most extreme operating conditions.

Sound

• SOUL Performance engineered this Race Exhaust System with a primary focus on track use and maximum performance rather than sound attenuation. As a result, the system is extremely loud, and even when equipped with resonators, some level of drone will be present. SOUL Performance does not recommend running this exhaust with aftermarket headers on the street. That said, at wide-open throttle the system delivers an exceptional, race-inspired sound. For those seeking a more refined and street-friendly exhaust experience, SOUL Performance recommends its Valved Exhaust System.

Bolt On and Go

• Each SOUL Performance exhaust is test-fit in a dedicated fixture to verify proper fitment, then foam packed to help ensure it arrives in perfect condition. Detailed installation instructions are included for a straightforward install that most DIY enthusiasts can complete. Valve operation is controlled through the factory valve button, SOUL’s valve controller fobs, and is compatible with HomeLink.
