SOUL Performance Competition Over Axle Pipes for 982 Porsche 718 GT4 RS / Spyder RS

SOUL Performance Competition Over Axle Pipes deliver the greatest sound potential from a single component by eliminating the redundant secondary catalytic cores and the empty particulate-filter sections found in the factory units. To preserve a full 3-inch flow path from flange to flange while fitting within tight suspension and body clearances, SOUL Performance uses an oval tubing design – a unique, purpose-built solution developed to maximize the performance of the GT3-derived engine. By streamlining the design, the Competition Over Axle Pipes also reduce the heat soak associated with the factory components, while additional thermal management solutions remain available for added protection.

Development

Construction

• Each set is assembled in-house in the USA using mandrel-bent, thick-wall 0.065″ T304L stainless steel. SOUL Performance employs back-purged TIG welding with ARCAL™ Prime argon gas to ensure proper weld penetration and long-term durability. Precision water-jet-cut flanges are manufactured to ISO 9001:2015 standards with tight tolerances of +/- 0.003 inches for exceptional accuracy. The Over Axle Pipes are fabricated on thick-gauge aluminum fixtures that act as effective heat sinks during welding, helping prevent warping of both the components and the fixtures to maintain consistent, OEM-quality fitment.

Bolt on and Go

• SOUL Performance rigorously inspects every component, fixture test-fits each system to verify precise fitment, and foam packs everything to ensure it arrives in perfect condition. Each kit includes new high-grade hardware and four OEM Porsche gaskets for installation.

Notes

• Due to the GT3-derived engine’s higher output in 718 RS models and the additional heat it produces, SOUL Performance strongly recommends adding a thermal management solution to Over Axle Pipe products to protect surrounding components and bodywork.
