SOUL Performance developed the Competition Package for the Porsche 981 Boxster and Cayman by enthusiasts, for enthusiasts, combining Competition Headers with superior flow characteristics and the Valved Exhaust System’s efficient X-pipe design. This pairing delivers exceptional throttle response and a dramatic yet well-controlled sound profile suited for both street and track use. With the valves closed, the exhaust maintains a refined, daily-driver-friendly tone free of excessive volume or drone. When the valves are opened, the system unleashes an intoxicating flat-six symphony as exhaust gases flow freely through a straight-through path and exit through the selected exhaust tips.

Power

• SOUL Performance tested its Competition Package on a Mustang dyno using a vehicle equipped with existing race headers, the Porsche Sport Exhaust system, and a custom tune as the baseline. Testing showed gains of 11 wheel horsepower and 9 ft-lbs of torque, with additional power potential expected when paired with a custom retune.

Construction

• SOUL Performance precision-engineers its headers from T304L stainless steel, incorporating proven design elements such as port-matched flanges, smooth-radius primary tubing, and optimized collectors to maximize exhaust flow and power gains. Every set is meticulously fabricated and rigorously quality-checked prior to shipping. Each system is constructed from mandrel-bent T304L stainless steel tubing and features mufflers with fortified casings to ensure long-term durability. Customers can choose from a variety of 321 stainless steel exhaust tips in multiple styles and finishes, with custom configurations available upon request.

Bolt On and Go

• Each SOUL Performance system is constructed from mandrel-bent T304L stainless steel tubing with 2.5-inch over-axle piping and fortified muffler casings engineered for long-term durability. With the valves closed, exhaust gases are directed through the SOUL muffler, which is packed with high-quality sound-deadening material designed to withstand sustained use without blowout, resulting in exceptional drone suppression and a refined driving experience. When the valves are opened, exhaust gases are allowed to exit freely through large 2.5-inch piping, while integrated perforations enable interaction with the muffler, producing a fuller, deeper, and more robust exhaust tone that highlights the character of the engine.
