PRL’s upgraded charge pipe kit is designed with a larger diameter cold-side to facilitate smoother and more substantial airflow, complemented by a hot-side outlet of the original factory diameter, which aids in improving the turbocharger’s spooling efficiency.

4-ply Silicone Couplers

• Heat-Soak Reduction: Silicone hose exhibits notably low thermal heat transfer characteristics, particularly when compared to materials like steel or aluminum
• Strength & Rigidity: Factory-installed rubber hoses are susceptible to expansion, an issue that becomes more pronounced with increased boost. As time passes, the durability of these rubber hoses diminishes, leading to a higher risk of boost leaks. It has also been observed that the standard rubber hose can melt under extreme conditions, as evidenced in several track tests with a shop car. In contrast, a 4-ply, high-temperature silicone hose is significantly better at handling the intense heat from turbochargers than the original rubber hoses.
• Smooth Airflow: Custom-molded silicone enables the creation of bends with significantly higher flow rates compared to what is achievable with metal tubing
• Optimal Fitment: It has been noted that factory rubber hoses often fall short in providing optimal fitment, especially when combined with an aftermarket radiator. In contrast, silicone hoses are found to offer superior fitment compared to the factory standard.
