This issue, which leads to an increased risk of detonation and substantial power loss due to elevated charge air and cylinder temperatures, becomes more acute during spirited driving or with higher power outputs. To address this, the PRL Motorsports intercooler upgrade effectively lowers charge air temperatures and enhances airflow potential with its compact yet powerful 26.5 x 3.5 x 7.25-inch bar-and-plate core, designed to support over 550 horsepower. The intercooler core boosts surface area by 85% and internal flow by 83%, ensuring superior cooling and air circulation. It features billet machined aluminum end tanks for maximum efficiency and a sleek appearance. This intercooler is engineered to fit directly into the factory mounting locations using the billet machined end tanks and is compatible with all standard air ducts and shrouds. Consistent with most PRL products, its installation requires no cutting, fitting, or trimming.
