When do I need the 26-Spline R3C Clutch for R34 cars?

Choose the 26-Spline R3C Clutch for R34 GT-R builds when the gearbox behind the RB26DETT has a 26-spline input shaft. The disc spline has to match the input shaft, so confirm the spline count before ordering. Our team can help check it.

Does it need the Movement Alteration Kit?

Turn 14 lists the kit as required with the standard R3C for R34, but names none for this 26-spline version. Because the answer depends on the gearbox and release system behind your engine, contact our team so we can confirm what your build needs.

How much power will it hold?

OS Giken USA rates its R3C at about 1,100 lb-ft of torque, and OS Giken Japan places the R series in its 700 PS class, the highest in its range. It is built for heavily modified RB26 engines in race cars.

It is the OS Giken model code. R is the cover series, OS Giken highest capacity line, 3 is the number of discs and C is the 215mm disc size. There is no D suffix; the R series uses the OS Giken floating dampened center hub instead, built to withstand transmission shock.

Is it usable on the street?

It is a race clutch. Engagement is firm and abrupt, and solid-hub discs pass more noise and driveline shock than a street clutch. It suits cars used mainly at the track or at events rather than daily driving. Our team can advise.

Description

OS Giken 26-Spline R3C Clutch for R34 Nissan Skyline GT-R, Triple Plate

OS Giken’s 26-Spline R3C Clutch for R34 Skyline GT-R builds is the triple plate R series race clutch with 26-spline disc hubs, for a BNR34 whose RB26DETT drives through a gearbox with a 26-spline input shaft. The clutch disc spline must match the gearbox input shaft exactly, which is why this version exists alongside the standard R3C. Apart from the spline, it follows OS Giken’s R3C: three 215mm solid-hub discs in the R series cover, with the floating center hub OS Giken designed to take the transmission shock of a high-powered race car. OS Giken USA rates its R3C at about 1,100 lb-ft.

Check the Release Arrangement

Turn 14 lists the standard-spline R3C for R34 with a required Movement Alteration Kit, because that clutch is push-type and the factory BNR34 release is pull-type. Turn 14 names no kit for this 26-spline version so confirm the release system on your gearbox with our team before ordering.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
