Stiff springs aren’t the answer on a car this light, and the Nitron S3 Exige S NTR-R1 FastRoad coilover kit follows the same thinking. Nitron sets the FastRoad version up for the roads a V6 Exige S spends most of its life on. Its spring rates are softer than the ClubSport kit’s, so the car can soak up crests, compressions and patched tarmac at speed instead of skipping across them. The chassis stays planted because the dampers are in control, not because the springs are too stiff to let it move. One adjuster per corner sets bump and rebound together, so it takes a few clicks to go from a fast road setting to something firmer for a track day. Mounting brackets come with the kit, and the Nitron S3 Exige S NTR-R1 FastRoad bolts into the double wishbone suspension without sourcing extra hardware.

Unique Technology

The Nitron NTR-R1 comes directly from Nitron’s full race program and shares many internal parts with the NTR-R3 used in international motorsport. What the NTR-R1 leaves out is the remote canister, so each damper stays compact enough to package neatly in the tight confines of an Exige. Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse.
