Nitron elec-TRON R1 Coilover Kit for R33 Nissan Skyline GT-R

The R33 GT-R elec-TRON R1 kit brings Nitron’s electronic damping control to a chassis that’s spent three decades earning its reputation through the RB26DETT and the ATTESA E-TS all-wheel drive system underneath it. Nitron’s proportional solenoid valve, fitted to each shock, hands damping control over to the included DCU, which reads what the car is doing at every corner and adjusts compression and rebound in real time rather than sitting on a fixed valve position. Because the R33 never came with a factory electronic damping system, this kit runs Nitron’s Standalone configuration, with the DCU included as part of the package rather than sold separately. The hardware traces back to Nitron’s R3 race platform, covering the same broad adjustment range without asking the driver to set anything manually to get the most out of it. Every kit includes adjustable top mounts and race springs, and it’s custom built and fully serviceable.

Each shock in the elec-TRON R1 carries its own proprietary proportional solenoid valve, giving the DCU independent control over damping at every corner of the car. Nissan never built the R33 GT-R with a factory electronic damping system to interface with, so this kit runs Nitron’s Standalone Electronic Damping configuration from the moment it’s installed, replacing the factory dampers and their control logic outright rather than working alongside anything the car came with.

elec-TRON DCU (Damper Control Unit)

The DCU included with this kit is what turns a passive damper setup into one that keeps adjusting on its own. It reads braking force, cornering load, acceleration, and overall vehicle attitude roughly every 5 milliseconds, repositioning each solenoid valve based on what the car is actually doing rather than holding a fixed setting for the whole drive. A control knob on the unit gives the driver access to four pre-installed maps, Rain, Tour, Sport, and Race, so the overall character is still something the driver picks, even while the fine adjustment underneath keeps happening automatically.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer.
