Nitron Front Adjustable Top Plates for E30 BMW M3

Nitron’s E30 M3 Top Plates solve a problem that a coilover swap leaves behind, which is that the rubber factory strut mounts on the E30 BMW M3 leave little room to set camber and caster once the ride height or the springs and dampers change. These Nitron Front Adjustable Top Plates replace the rubber mounts at the front with machined aluminum plates that locate the strut positively and let camber and caster be adjusted directly. The result is a front alignment that can be set for the tires and the driving, steering that isn’t softened by rubber flex at the mount, and more consistent turn-in on a car that rewards precision.

Rubber-Free Construction

The factory mount relies on rubber, and rubber moves under braking, cornering, and steering load. The Nitron plate removes it entirely, so the strut stays where it is set and the car responds to steering input without the lag of a compliant mount. The tradeoff is more road feedback through the chassis, which is the point for a car that is driven hard.

Machined for Nitron Coilovers

Each plate is machined from aluminum and finished in titanium grey anodizing, and it is made to work with Nitron coilovers specifically. Using it with other dampers may require modification, so it should be paired with Nitron units.

Bespoke Engineering

Nitron doesn’t adapt a generic top plate to the E30 M3; the plate is built around the car’s front strut and the way it mounts to the body. That keeps the strut located where the geometry needs it and gives the alignment adjustment a defined range, instead of leaving it to whatever a universal plate happens to allow.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance.
