MV Forged Aero+ Series AR-120 3-Piece Wheel

The Aero+™ Series, a leader in the carbon hybrid performance market, presents an extensive collection of twill carbon, forged carbon, and aluminum aero discs. Known for its use of Grade 5 Titanium hardware, expertly shaped with advanced milling methods, the series effectively channels airflow outward by utilizing the rotational movement of wheels. This feature is crucial in enhancing brake cooling and augmenting downforce, consequently reducing pressure beneath the vehicle’s chassis. The Aero+™ Series has gained recognition for its luxurious qualities, agility, and innovative design, establishing new benchmarks in the realm of luxury automotive performance enhancements.

Engineering

In automotive aerodynamics, wheels play a pivotal role, accounting for nearly a third of a vehicle’s total aerodynamic drag, primarily due to the interaction between rotating wheels and air currents. To address this, the Aero+™ series’ design and engineering teams have developed the Aero+™ ring to minimize aerodynamic impact. The channels beneath this ring are specifically designed to disperse hot air around the brakes, especially after heavy usage, helping to maintain optimal brake temperatures and contribute to downforce generation, essential for superior vehicle performance.

Spoke-Lite™ Undercutting

The Aero+™ Wheel collection has been augmented with the Spoke-Lite™ Register, a cutting-edge feature that reduces the weight of the wheels by 10% while also exposing the carbon fiber underneath. The implementation of Scallop Undercutting significantly lowers the overall weight and unsprung mass of the wheels. By scalloping the edges of the spokes, the “I-Beam” structure’s cross-section is enhanced, ensuring strength while maintaining a lightweight profile.

Hub Pocketing

A key characteristic of the Aero+™ series is its design consistency, particularly evident in the Through-Hub Pockets found between the lug holes on each wheel. These pockets are essential for improving heat dissipation and reducing the unsprung mass at the wheel hub. The series offers five distinct build configurations, each marked by unique and customized details. Every wheel set is also individually identified by a serial number and comes with specific load ratings and dimensions.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less.
