Which Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X models do the Moton 1-Way Coilovers for EVO X fit?

MOTON lists the Moton 1-Way Coilovers for EVO X for the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X (CZ4A, 2007 to 2015). Each 1-Way set is built to order in the Netherlands for that fitment, so confirm the exact model, year and any previous suspension changes with us before ordering.

How does the 1-Way kit compare with the other MOTON kits for the EVO X?

The 1-Way adjusts rebound only and leaves compression to MOTON valving, which makes it the simplest kit to set up on the EVO X. The 2-Way Clubsport adds compression adjustment on a remote reservoir. The 3-Way Motorsport splits compression into separate low-speed and high-speed circuits. Every MOTON kit for the EVO X shares threaded ride height, non-inverted monotube construction and springs in the box.

Does the EVO X kit fit the Lancer Ralliart?

MOTON lists this part number for the EVO X only. The Lancer Ralliart shares the body but uses different suspension parts, so ask us before ordering for a Ralliart and we will check with MOTON. Confirm the model from the VIN on any car that has been converted.

What comes in the box?

Four non-inverted monotube coilovers with springs, each with a single rebound adjuster on the damper body, pillowball front camber plates, built to order for the EVO X. Wheel spacers, any electronic damper cancellation and the alignment are not included, and the kit ships without spring preload set.

How difficult is installation on the EVO X?

It is a job for a qualified shop with a lift and a calibrated torque wrench. The kit arrives with no spring preload, so preload is set before the EVO X is lowered and ride height is measured afterwards. Overtightening the spring platform can deform the damper body, and an alignment should follow.

Description

Moton 1-Way Coilovers for EVO X Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution (CZ4A)

Moton’s 1-Way Coilovers for EVO X Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution (CZ4A) are the simplest MOTON damper for the EVO X: a single rebound adjuster per corner, threaded ride height and springs supplied. The EVO X moved to the CZ4A chassis and the aluminum-block 4B11T engine with S-AWC all-wheel drive, and MOTON lists this 1-way set for it. Leaving compression to MOTON’s valving keeps the EVO X kit simple: rebound sets how the car recovers, and the threaded bodies set its stance. It suits an EVO X that is driven on the road and taken to the occasional track day.

Design and Performance

Rebound sets how quickly each damper extends after compressing, which decides how the EVO X settles after crests and kerbs. The 1-Way gives one adjuster per corner for exactly that and leaves compression to MOTON’s valving, the right amount of adjustment for a road car with occasional track days. For compression control on the EVO X, step up to the Moton 2-Way Clubsport Coilovers or the Moton 3-Way Motorsport Coilovers.

About Moton

MOTON Suspension Technology was founded in the Netherlands in 1999, and by June 2000 around 30 percent of the cars at the 24 Hours of Le Mans ran its dampers. MOTON has since won in the FIA GT and FIA Sportscar championships, the ETCC and WTCC, Grand-Am and World Challenge. AST Suspension acquired the brand in 2011, and every MOTON damper is now developed, tested and built by the AST x MOTON team in the Netherlands, part of the Roosen Industries group since 2016.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
