Moshammer Active Aero Emulator solves the one problem that follows every 992 fixed wing or ducktail conversion: the car still expects an electric rear spoiler to be there. The emulator replaces the original control unit and plugs straight into the factory connector, so the vehicle operates as if no electric spoiler were fitted and the active aero warning messages never appear. It is a Moshammer part, developed in Berlin and built in small batches, which means the job is done properly rather than worked around. Any qualified mechanic can carry out the installation, and with a ducktail that has an integrated third brake light, such as the Moshammer Ducktail Evo III, it is completely plug and play. For owners who would rather not have the car reprogrammed, this is the clean answer.

What It Does

The 992 watches its electric rear spoiler continuously, so a car converted to a fixed wing or ducktail will post active aero warnings and store them in the fault memory. The emulator takes the place of the original control unit and answers the car exactly as the factory hardware would, leaving no error messages behind. After installation the vehicle behaves as though it never had an electric spoiler at all.

Installation and Wiring

The module plugs into the original factory connector, so there is no cutting or splicing and any qualified mechanic can complete the work. Paired with a ducktail that carries an integrated third brake light, such as the Ducktail Evo III, it is completely plug and play. With a ducktail that has no integrated light, such as the Ducktail Evo II, the third brake light cable is routed back to the original light in the upper grille below the rear window.

Compatibility and Coding

This emulator is made for cars running OEM control unit 992.907.479 S, which covers 992.1 cars from 2019 to 2024 and 992.2 cars of model year 2025. Cars from model year 2026 with control unit 992.907.479 T are not supported, and your Porsche dealer can confirm which unit your car carries. Where a different unit is fitted, the spoiler is coded out with PIWIS in the usual way instead.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest.
