Akrapovic Titanium Evolution Link Pipe Set for S206 / W206 Mercedes-AMG C63 S E PERFORMANCE
The Akrapovic Evolution Link Pipe Set (Titanium) is a further enhancement for the Akrapovic Slip-On Line (Titanium) on the W206 / S206 Mercedes-AMG C63 S E PERFORMANCE, not a standalone exhaust system. The rear section of the link pipe set is built from high-grade titanium, paired with high-grade austenitic stainless steel in the front section, in a dual-tube design that minimizes gas flow resistance. A special resonator is built in to eliminate unwanted drone. Akrapovic designed this option for use on closed-course competition circuits, where its sharper, more aggressive character can be enjoyed without street-driving compromises.
When combined with the Akrapovic Slip-On Line (Titanium), the link pipe set adds a further +14.3 kW (+19.4 hp) at 4,650 rpm and +29.4 Nm (+21.7 lb-ft) at 4,600 rpm on the Akrapovic dyno, tested against a Mercedes-AMG C63 S E PERFORMANCE running its standard stock exhaust. Akrapovic also reports a 6.2% (0.7 kg) weight reduction against the stock setup once combined with the Slip-On Line. Installation is plug and play with no ECU remapping required, and the sound character shifts from a comfortable cruising tone to a sharper, more dynamic voice at higher revs, with distinct pops and bangs from the tailpipes on acceleration and gear changes.
Because this is a link pipe set rather than a complete system, it must be installed alongside the Akrapovic Slip-On Line (Titanium) S-ME/T/18H to function; the two are designed and dyno-tested together. Fitting this Evolution Link Pipe Set (Titanium) also voids the Slip-On Line’s ECE type approval, since the combination is intended for competition use rather than road-legal street or highway driving.
