KW’s HLS 4 for Porsche Carrera GT is made for the Carrera GT, a car with a racing V10 behind the driver, a beech-wood gearknob and no electronic assistance to hide behind. It remains the most demanding road Porsche ever sold, and its damping is central to that character rather than incidental to it. KW builds this system in Fichtenberg, Germany, on the benches it uses for its own race customers, and the four-way adjustment allows a Carrera GT to be settled without being softened. For one of the few thousand owners in the world, this is hardware built to the standard of the car.

Design and Performance

The HLS 4 for Porsche Carrera is a four-way Solid Piston coilover system derived from KW motorsport damper technology. Damping is valved by KW for this specific application rather than adapted from a generic part, and ride height is set on the strut body so corner weights can be dialled in properly. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer.
