Kline Innovation proudly presents its ultimate exhaust system for the Huracan Performante, a track-focused variant of Lamborghini’s formidable supercar. With a 5.2-liter V10 producing 640 hp, the Huracan upholds Lamborghini’s tradition of uncompromising performance. Designed and crafted from ultra-lightweight Inconel 625, Kline’s exhaust system meets a straightforward brief: deliver unrivaled sound, performance, and lightness.

The Sound

• At Kline Innovation, the factory exhaust system for the Huracan simply didn’t capture the raw essence of the supercar. The Kline sound vision was clear: to design an exhaust that would unleash a fierce, high-rev scream while maintaining a near-stock quietness at cruising speeds.With the valves closed, exhaust gases flow through a sequence of chambers and acoustic sections, effectively eliminating any drone. When the valves open, the exhaust becomes a fully free-flowing system, channeling gases exclusively through Kline’s signature tight-radius X-pipe, elevating the exhaust note’s pitch for an aggressive, “demon screaming” tone at high revs. Each system is finished with bespoke Formula 1-grade pre-preg carbon fiber tailpipes, crafted in-house to ensure unmatched quality and aesthetics. For total control, Kline offers the “INCONEL BUTTON” wireless valve control kit, allowing drivers to keep the valves open across the full rev range for optimal sound experience.

Performance

• By removing the secondary catalysts from the silencer section and implementing a fully free-flow exhaust under valve-open conditions, Kline Innovation achieves maximum efficiency from the system, leading to moderate increases in power and torque. This setup delivers gains of 23 hp and 29 Nm, enhancing the Huracan’s performance potential.

Stainless Steel

• Within the exhaust manufacturing domain, the industry has traditionally relied on the established standard of 304-grade stainless steel. This grade provides a well-balanced combination of moderate strength, thermochemical stability, cost-effectiveness, and ease of production. It enables the construction of exhaust systems that strike a practical balance between affordability and functionality, ensuring long-term durability. However, it’s worth noting that stainless steel is relatively heavier compared to alternative materials. Although its density is similar to regular steel, it possesses slightly lower tensile strength. As a result, stainless steel has limitations when it comes to creating high-performance exhaust components and may result in a somewhat subdued and less vibrant exhaust note compared to other materials.

Inconel

• When durability and heat resistance are of utmost importance, Inconel 625 emerges as the ultimate choice widely employed in the aerospace industry. This exceptional material finds extensive application in the manufacturing of critical components, particularly exhaust turbine blades for high-performance jet engines. Inconel is highly favored in Formula One exhaust systems and has been chosen by manufacturers involved in prestigious hypercar projects such as the McLaren P1 and Aston Martin 177. The advantages of Inconel lie in its high tensile strength and excellent thermochemical stability. With a tensile strength comparable to that of titanium, it achieves an outstanding strength-to-weight ratio. This allows for the use of thin sidewall materials while maintaining structural integrity, facilitating the production of lightweight components that demonstrate exceptional resistance to fatigue over extended periods. However, working with Inconel presents challenges due to its difficult machinability and specific welding requirements, demanding specialized skills and time-consuming techniques. Additionally, the unique properties and specialized manufacturing processes associated with Inconel contribute to its higher cost as a raw material.

Heat Shield

• For customers prioritizing effective heat management, Kline offers meticulously designed heat protection solutions crafted from embossed stainless steel sheets. Skilled artisans meticulously create and weld each heat shield to ensure optimal performance. By integrating these heat shields onto the manifolds, Kline effectively mitigates heat soak, improves scavenging, and enhances overall performance, resulting in a cooler engine temperature.
