Kline Innovation Valvetronic Exhaust System for 992.2 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.0T

The Kline Innovation Valvetronic Exhaust System for the Porsche 992.2 Carrera is engineered to replace the factory-restricted sound and response with a sharper, higher-pitched tone and a more exotic character on demand. Built around a lightweight X-pipe and fully bypassable valvetronic silencer section, this system drops the heavy OEM rear silencer while giving you true dual-personality control: quiet “stealth” manners with the valves closed, and a raw, unrestricted soundtrack with the valves open. The package can be configured with 100-cell, 200-cell, or de-cat cross sections, plus optional HJS motorsport catalysts and OPF delete solutions to significantly open up flow and sound, making it an ideal foundation for tuned setups. Construction is offered in 304 stainless steel or F1-grade Inconel 625 for maximum weight savings and heat resistance, and it can be finished with Kline’s pre-preg carbon fiber exhaust tips for a clean OEM-plus look.

Sound

• By removing the heavy, chambered rear silencer and replacing it with a lightweight F1-grade Inconel 625 X-pipe and fully bypassable Inconel silencers, the system cuts substantial weight while raising exhaust pitch into a more exotic tonal range. Deleting the OPF and factory catalysts and substituting either HJS motorsport catalysts or de-cat pipes further opens the sound, complementing the high-pitched silencer section and sharpening it into an exotic scream. Kline Innovation’s rear valvetronic configuration allows the car to be driven in a stealthy, valves-closed mode, while opening the valves delivers a raw, unhindered soundtrack. Optional F1-grade pre-preg carbon fiber exhaust tips complete the setup with a refined finishing touch.

Performance

• Like all Porsche turbo models, the tuning potential of the 992 is immense. Over 40hp and 55nm of torque can be achieved by replacing the stock catalysts with their racing pipes and adjusting the ensuing A/F ratios. Coupled with a full ECU remap, gains of over 80hp can be expected.

Stainless Steel

• 304-grade stainless steel is commonly used in the exhaust manufacturing industry due to its strength, thermal stability, cost-effectiveness, and easy fabrication. However, its weight and limited tensile strength may pose issues when used in high-performance exhaust components. The need for thicker walls with stainless steel could also negatively impact the exhaust sound.

Inconel

• Inconel 625, renowned for its sturdiness and heat resistance, is often employed in building vital parts such as high-performance jet engine exhaust turbine blades. It is the preferred material for Formula One exhaust systems and highly-regarded hypercar projects like the McLaren P1 and Aston Martin 177. Despite Inconel’s capacity to withstand temperatures over 1000°C and its emphasis on lightweight design, it presents unique challenges due to its complex machinability and specialized welding requirements.
