Is a wheel lock included or available?

No. The set contains 20 open-ended titanium nuts and no locking nut, and the manufacturer does not offer a lock nut in this M12 x 1.5, 17mm hex size. If you want theft protection on the car, you will need a separate locking solution that suits your wheels and studs.

Will the Titanium Through Lug Nuts fit my car?

The Titanium Through Lug Nuts suit cars with M12 x 1.5 wheel studs, five lugs per wheel and wheels that accept a 17mm hex nut. The seat shape is not published, so confirm it matches your wheels before fitting, because nuts that have been used cannot be returned or exchanged.

Why choose titanium for lug nuts?

The 64 titanium alloy, Ti-6Al-4V, is strong enough for the walls to be made thinner, which takes weight out of each nut. It also resists heat and expands little, so the manufacturer recommends these nuts for circuit driving. No per-nut weight is published, so the exact saving is not listed.

Do they need to be checked for torque?

Yes. The manufacturer asks owners to check tightening torque when the car is used on a circuit. No torque value is published for this set, so follow the specification for your car and wheels, and recheck the nuts after track sessions as part of your normal routine.

How should I clean them?

Avoid acidic products such as iron-fallout wheel cleaners, because they strip the heat-tinted color from the titanium. Choose a non-acidic wash instead. The color is applied by hand, so small differences from one nut to the next are normal rather than a defect.

What does through type mean?

A through nut is open at the outer end rather than capped, so the stud can pass into and through the nut body. This set is 35mm long with a 17mm hex and an M12 x 1.5 thread, and each nut is engraved with the logo of the manufacturer.

Description

J’s Racing Titanium Through Lug Nuts M12 x 1.5 17 Hex

J’s Racing’s Titanium Through Lug Nuts are made from 64 titanium, the Ti-6Al-4V alloy, and come as a set of 20, enough for one car on 5-lug wheels with M12 x 1.5 studs. Because the alloy is so strong, J’s Racing could thin the walls to save weight. It also handles heat well and expands very little, which is why the Osaka tuner, a Honda specialist since 1989, recommends them for circuit driving. Each nut is 35mm long with a 17mm hex, carries an engraved J’s Racing logo and wears a heat-tinted color applied by hand. They make sense for an owner who tracks the car and wants lighter, heat-tolerant hardware; a driver happy with plain steel nuts gains mostly looks.

About J’s Racing

J’s Racing was established in Osaka in 1989, as VTEC engines and lightweight Civics and Integras were changing what a Honda could do, and it has built parts for Hondas ever since. The company develops engine response, suspension, braking, cooling and aerodynamics together as one system, then proves the parts in time attack, gymkhana, endurance and circuit racing. Its Fit lapped Tsukuba Circuit in 1’00.459, and its naturally aspirated AP1 S2000, the Maou car, became the company’s reference build for the Honda roadster. Every J’s Racing part is designed and tested in Japan, and J’s Racing USA in Carson, California handles distribution in the United States.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
