Is the center pipe included?

Yes. The 70RS is supplied with its own center pipe, which carries a silencer, together with the main pipe and silencer section. You will also need one Type B reinforced muffler bush, sold on its own. Gaskets and other hardware are not listed by the manufacturer, so confirm them with Bulletproof Automotive.

Will the R304 70RS Exhaust for FD2 fit a US-market Civic?

The R304 70RS Exhaust for FD2 cars is made for the Japanese-market FD2 Civic Type R sedan, and the manufacturer warns it may not fit the US-market FG Civic. It is the right fit for an imported FD2 Type R. For any other Civic, ask Bulletproof Automotive to check before ordering.

How is the 70RS different from the 70RR?

Both use the same 70mm main pipe in SUS304 stainless with a titanium tail. The 70RS adds a silencer in the included center pipe, making it the quieter of the two, while the 70RR is tuned purely for output and response. The 70RS suits circuits that check exhaust noise.

Will I lose low-end torque with the bigger pipe?

Not according to the manufacturer, which states that the 70mm main pipe improves pull through the mid and upper rev range and raises peak power without sacrificing the low rev range. If most of your driving is on the street, the 60mm 60RS is still the more road-focused option.

How should I clean the titanium tail?

Use plain water and a soft cloth. The manufacturer warns that wiping the tail with chemicals can change its color, and the heat color is applied by hand, so it already varies slightly from the photos. Avoid harsh polishes on the colored section of the dolphin tail.

Description

J’s Racing R304 70RS Exhaust for FD2 Honda Civic Type R

J’s Racing’s R304 70RS Exhaust for FD2 Civic Type R owners, known in Japan as the SUS Exhaust Plus 70RS, comes as a set with its own center pipe. That pipe carries a silencer, which is what separates it from the 70RR: both share the 70mm main pipe, but the RS takes the edge off the volume. The Osaka tuner says the larger pipe noticeably improves pull through the mid and upper revs and lifts peak power without hurting the bottom end. Main pipe and silencer are SUS304 stainless with hand TIG welds, finished by a titanium tail. Pick it for a track-day FD2 that needs to pass circuit sound checks.

About J’s Racing

J’s Racing was established in Osaka in 1989, as VTEC engines and lightweight Civics and Integras were changing what a Honda could do, and it has built parts for Hondas ever since. The company develops engine response, suspension, braking, cooling and aerodynamics together as one system, then proves the parts in time attack, gymkhana, endurance and circuit racing. Its Fit lapped Tsukuba Circuit in 1’00.459, and its naturally aspirated AP1 S2000, the Maou car, became the company’s reference build for the Honda roadster. Every J’s Racing part is designed and tested in Japan, and J’s Racing USA in Carson, California handles distribution in the United States.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
