This advanced design allows for greater air volume, improved laminar flow, and increased air velocity. These enhancements provide an additional 40+ wheel horsepower, 50+ foot-pounds of torque, improved boost response, and more linear power and torque curves. Unlike the assumption that bigger is always better in forced induction, the IPD Y-Pipe is precisely enlarged to avoid pressure drop within the intake tract, thereby preventing turbo lag and performance reduction. The optimized “non-round” design and dimpled interior surface represent a level of refinement that conventional round tube construction cannot achieve.
