Are the ID2600-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors in this set made for the SC400?

Yes. The Lexus SC400 is the application Injector Dynamics lists for the ID2600-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors with an 11mm top and Denso lower cushion in a set of eight. The cushion and top match the factory arrangement, while the USCAR plugs may need Denso adapters.

Do I need Denso plug adapters on an SC400?

If the engine wiring has Denso injector plugs, yes. These injectors use USCAR connectors, and the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso adapter lets them plug into Denso wiring without cutting it. The adapters are sold separately, eight needed for this set.

Will an SC400 idle smoothly on eight 2600s?

Yes, with a proper calibration. Injector Dynamics matches the set with Dual Slope Matching through the short pulse range, which is where eight large injectors on an SC400 spend their idle time. The tune must use the published characterization data for the 2600 to get there.

Does an SC400 need a new tune with these?

Yes. Eight injectors at 2600cc per minute nominal each have nothing in common with the factory SC400 injectors, so the engine management must be recalibrated with the Injector Dynamics characterization data. This normally happens alongside the turbo or supercharger tune the car will need anyway.

Can a single SC400 injector be replaced?

Yes, through Injector Dynamics, which supplies single replacements for its flow matched sets so all eight stay balanced. The warranty runs one year from purchase against manufacturer defects and requires correct fuel with proper filtration. Cleaning and flow testing is also available from Injector Dynamics in Arizona.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID2600-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors with 11mm Top and Denso Lower Cushion, Set of 8

Injector Dynamics’ ID2600-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors, eight of them with blue 11mm tops and Denso lower cushions, are listed by Injector Dynamics for the Lexus SC400. The Denso cushion matches the lower seal the factory used, and the 11mm top suits the original rail. Eight injectors at 2600cc/min nominal is an enormous amount of fuel for this car; the set makes sense only for an SC400 that has been turbocharged or supercharged and moved to E85 or methanol. A stock or lightly modified SC400 would never use it.

Configuration

The part number reads 60mm body, 11mm top, Denso lower, eight injectors. Injector Dynamics lists no other car for this exact combination.

Features

Developed with Bosch Motorsport for liquid fuels; the highest flow rate of any injector Bosch offers
Corrosion-resistant internals for long-term ethanol and methanol service
About 50 percent more flow than the ID1700x
Dual Slope Matching across the linear and non-linear range for consistency at short pulse widths

Specifications

Nominal flow: 2600cc/min
Maximum differential fuel pressure: 9.0 bar (130.5 psi)
Minimum voltage: 11 volts
Fuel compatibility: Methanol, ethanol and all known hydrocarbons; not ethers or nitromethane
Electrical connector: USCAR
Body length: 60mm
Top: 11mm (blue)
Lower: Denso lower cushion

What’s Included

ID2600-XDS fuel injectors with 11mm tops and Denso lower cushions (x8)

Applications

Injector Dynamics lists the ID2600-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors in this configuration for:

Lexus SC400

Notes

USCAR connectors are fitted; Denso, EV1 and OBD2 Honda wiring each need a plug-and-play adapter, sold separately, and for Denso plugs that is the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso PnP Adapter
Denso lower cushions and 11mm tops are fitted to suit the factory arrangement
The engine management must be recalibrated with the Injector Dynamics characterization data before the engine is driven
Keep injector supply voltage at or above the 11 volt minimum Injector Dynamics specifies

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
