Do the ID2600-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors in this set fit a 24 valve VR6?

Injector Dynamics lists the ID2600-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors with 14mm top and bottom adapters, set of six, for the 12 valve VR6 in Audi and Volkswagen models. The 24 valve VR6 is not listed for this configuration, so confirm with us before ordering for one.

Is this the right set for an FG Falcon XR6T?

No. Injector Dynamics lists this 60mm set for the BA and BF XR6T. The FG XR6T uses the 48mm injector with a 14mm top and 14mm bottom adapter, also sold as a set of six, so the body length is what separates the two.

Why choose the 2600 for a VR6 or XR6T?

For fuel volume and pressure headroom. The ID2600-XDS is rated at 2600cc per minute nominal and to 9 bar differential pressure, against 7 bar for the ID1300-XDS and ID1750-XDS. A turbo VR6 on methanol or a heavily built XR6T on E85 can use that; a mild build cannot.

Who should calibrate a VR6 or XR6T on these?

A tuner experienced with your engine management and with large injectors. The Injector Dynamics characterization data for the 2600 has to be entered first, and the idle and transient fueling need care, since six injectors of this size run very short pulses at idle.

Can one injector in the six be replaced?

Yes, through Injector Dynamics, which supplies single replacements for its flow matched sets so the six cylinders stay even. The warranty is one year from purchase against manufacturer defects and requires the correct fuel with proper filtration. Cleaning and flow testing is also offered in Arizona.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID2600-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors with 14mm Top and 14mm Bottom Adapter, Set of 6

Injector Dynamics’ ID2600-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors in a set of six, with purple 14mm top adapters and silver 14mm bottom adapters, are the configuration Injector Dynamics lists for the 12 valve VR6 in Audi and Volkswagen models and for the BA and BF Ford Falcon XR6T. A turbocharged VR6 on methanol, or a BA or BF XR6T built well past its factory turbo on E85, is where six injectors of this size belong. A naturally aspirated VR6 would gain nothing from them, and an ID1050-XDS covers most moderate turbo builds.

Configuration

Six injectors per set, each carrying the silver bottom adapter. The FG Falcon XR6T is listed with the 48mm version, so check which Falcon you have.

Highest-flowing injector Bosch offers, developed jointly with Injector Dynamics
Rated to 9 bar differential fuel pressure
Corrosion-resistant construction for alcohol fuels over the long term
Set matched with Dual Slope Matching, so balance holds down into the non-linear range

Specifications

Nominal flow: 2600cc/min
Maximum differential fuel pressure: 9.0 bar (130.5 psi)
Minimum voltage: 11 volts
Fuel compatibility: Methanol, ethanol and all known hydrocarbons; not ethers or nitromethane
Electrical connector: USCAR
Body length: 60mm
Top: 14mm adapter (purple)
Lower: 14mm bottom adapter (silver)

What’s Included

ID2600-XDS fuel injectors with 14mm top adapters and 14mm bottom adapters fitted (x6)

Applications

Injector Dynamics lists the ID2600-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors in this configuration for:

Audi and Volkswagen: VR6 12 valve
Ford Falcon XR6T: BA and BF

Notes

The connector is USCAR; plug-and-play adapters for Denso, EV1 and Honda wiring are separate parts, with the Denso version listed as the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso PnP Adapter
Silver 14mm bottom adapters come fitted, giving the injector a 14mm lower seal
An ECU recalibration is required after fitting, using the Injector Dynamics characterization data
The ID2600-XDS needs at least 11 volts to operate

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
