Will the ID2600-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors with a Denso cushion and 14mm top fit an Evo?

Not as listed. Injector Dynamics lists the Evo III to IX with an 11mm top and Denso cushion. The ID2600-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors in this set have a 14mm top, and Injector Dynamics publishes no vehicle for it, so match the top seal to your fuel rail before ordering.

Do Denso cushion injectors need Denso plug adapters?

Often, since engines built for Denso injectors usually have Denso plugs. These injectors use USCAR connectors, so the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso adapter is the usual fix. The lower cushion and the plug are separate matters, so check both.

Is the 2600 too big for a Denso equipped four cylinder?

Often, yes. Four injectors at 2600cc per minute nominal, about 50 percent more than the ID1700x, are meant for a four cylinder at very high output on methanol or E85. A Denso equipped four at moderate power will calibrate more easily on an ID1050-XDS.

Can I keep the old calibration with these Denso cushion injectors?

No. The cushion keeps the mechanical fit, but the 2600 flows and responds nothing like the injectors it replaces. A tuner has to load the Injector Dynamics characterization data and rebuild the fuel calibration before the engine sees load, then refine idle and transient fueling.

Does filtration matter for warranty on this set?

Yes. The one year Injector Dynamics warranty against manufacturer defects requires the correct fuel and proper filtration, so a fine filter ahead of the rail belongs in the install. Single replacements for the matched four are supplied through Injector Dynamics so the set stays balanced.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID2600-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors with 14mm Top and Denso Lower Cushion, Set of 4

Injector Dynamics’ ID2600-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors are paired here with purple 14mm top adapters and Denso lower cushions, four to a set, for engines designed around Denso injectors with a 14mm top seal. Injector Dynamics publishes no vehicle for this four-injector set; the six-injector version is the one it lists for the R32 to R34 Skyline GT-R and Toyota trucks. At 2600cc/min nominal, these four suit a Denso-equipped four-cylinder running large boost on methanol or E85. On a gasoline engine at moderate power the ID1050-XDS is the more practical class.

Configuration

D is the Denso lower cushion, and the 14 ahead of it is the top adapter. The set is the 14mm-top counterpart of the 11mm-top Denso cushion set listed for the Evo and DSM.

Features

ID2600-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors flow matched as a set of four
Internals resist corrosion from long-term exposure to methanol and ethanol
Flows roughly half again as much as the ID1700x
Matched in both the linear and short pulse ranges using Dual Slope Matching

Specifications

Nominal flow: 2600cc/min
Maximum differential fuel pressure: 9.0 bar (130.5 psi)
Minimum voltage: 11 volts
Fuel compatibility: Methanol, ethanol and all known hydrocarbons; not ethers or nitromethane
Electrical connector: USCAR
Body length: 60mm
Top: 14mm adapter (purple)
Lower: Denso lower cushion

What’s Included

ID2600-XDS fuel injectors with 14mm top adapters and Denso lower cushions fitted (x4)

Applications

Injector Dynamics does not publish a vehicle list for this configuration; it fits fuel systems built for a 60mm injector with 14mm top and Denso lower cushion.

Notes

Each injector has a USCAR plug; engines wired for Denso, EV1, OBD2 Honda or 2012+ Honda connectors need an Injector Dynamics adapter, and the Denso one is the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso PnP Adapter
Denso lower cushions are fitted to suit engines designed for Denso injectors
A tuner must load the Injector Dynamics characterization data and recalibrate the ECU after installation
Injector Dynamics specifies a minimum supply of 11 volts for the ID2600-XDS

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
