Do the ID2600-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors with a bottom adapter fit a VW 1.8T?

Yes. Injector Dynamics lists the ID2600-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors with a 14mm top and 14mm bottom adapter, set of four, for the VW 1.8T and the Audi 1.8 liter turbo. The bottom adapters come fitted, and the USCAR plugs may need adapters for your wiring.

Why do these injectors have a bottom adapter?

Injector Dynamics specifies the silver 14mm bottom adapter for the listed engines, and it carries the lower O-ring at 14mm in the position those manifolds call for. It is installed on each injector at the factory, so the set goes in as supplied with nothing to transfer.

Can a 1.8T or MR-2 Turbo run E85 or methanol on these?

Yes. Injector Dynamics rates the ID2600-XDS for methanol, ethanol and all known hydrocarbon fuels, with corrosion resistant internals for alcohol. That covers a big turbo 1.8T, MR-2 Turbo or Cobalt SS on E85 or methanol. Ethers and nitromethane are excluded, so confirm the contents of any race fuel.

Is tuning data published for these injectors?

Yes. Injector Dynamics publishes characterization data for the ID2600-XDS, including a 605 microsecond offset at 43.5 psi and 12 volts. A 1.8T, Miata or 3S-GTE calibration needs that data loaded before the engine runs on the new injectors, followed by fuel table work.

What warranty covers the 1.8T and Miata set?

Injector Dynamics warrants the four injectors for one year from purchase against manufacturer defects, on condition of correct fuel and proper filtration. Since they are flow matched, a single replacement comes through Injector Dynamics, and its Arizona facility offers cleaning, inspection and flow testing later on.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID2600-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors with 14mm Top and 14mm Bottom Adapter, Set of 4

Injector Dynamics’ ID2600-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors in this four-injector set wear purple 14mm top adapters and silver 14mm bottom adapters, the version Injector Dynamics lists for the Audi and VW 1.8T, the 2006-2014 Miata, the supercharged Cobalt SS, the Saturn Ion Redline and Sky, and the 3S-GTE MR-2 Turbo. Four injectors at 2600cc/min nominal suit a heavily built 1.8T or 3S-GTE on a large turbo running E85 or methanol. A Miata or Sky on a mild boost kit would use a fraction of that flow and is better matched to a smaller class.

Features

Built to Injector Dynamics specification with Bosch Motorsport, the top-flowing injector in the Bosch range
Internals resist corrosion from long-term exposure to methanol and ethanol
Flows roughly half again as much as the ID1700x
Matched in both the linear and short pulse ranges using Dual Slope Matching

Specifications

Nominal flow: 2600cc/min
Maximum differential fuel pressure: 9.0 bar (130.5 psi)
Minimum voltage: 11 volts
Fuel compatibility: Methanol, ethanol and all known hydrocarbons; not ethers or nitromethane
Electrical connector: USCAR
Body length: 60mm
Top: 14mm adapter (purple)
Lower: 14mm bottom adapter (silver)

What’s Included

ID2600-XDS fuel injectors with 14mm top adapters and 14mm bottom adapters fitted (x4)

Applications

Injector Dynamics lists the ID2600-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors in this configuration for:

Audi: 1.8L Turbo
Chevrolet Cobalt SS: supercharged
Mazda Miata: 2006-2014
Saturn: Ion Redline and Sky non-turbo
Toyota MR-2 Turbo: 1990-1996 | 3S-GTE, 14mm
Volkswagen: 1.8T

Notes

Each injector has a USCAR plug; engines wired for Denso, EV1, OBD2 Honda or 2012+ Honda connectors need an Injector Dynamics adapter, and the Denso one is the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso PnP Adapter
Silver 14mm bottom adapters come fitted, giving the injector a 14mm lower seal
A tuner must load the Injector Dynamics characterization data and recalibrate the ECU after installation
Injector Dynamics specifies a minimum supply of 11 volts for the ID2600-XDS

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
