Which Focus RS does this set fit?

Injector Dynamics lists this five piece configuration for the Ford Focus RS, described in its fitment table as Mk II to IV. The Focus ZX3, SVT and another RS listing use a 60mm four piece configuration instead, so count your injectors and check their length before ordering.

Are the ID2600-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors matched as a set of five?

Yes. The ID2600-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors are flow matched as a group of five using Dual Slope Matching, so every cylinder receives the same fuel, including at the short pulse widths seen at idle. Single injectors are replaced through Injector Dynamics to keep that balance.

Is 2600cc per injector right for my Focus RS?

Yes, but only on a heavily modified car. On the factory turbo and pump gasoline the injectors run very short pulses and add calibration work for no gain. With a larger turbo and E85 or methanol, the fuel volume they supply is what the engine needs.

Will the RS need a full retune?

Yes. Injector flow, offset and short pulse behavior all change, and the calibration must be rebuilt around the Injector Dynamics characterization data for the 2600. That data includes a 605 microsecond offset at 43.5 psi and 12 volts. Book the tune together with the installation.

What fuels should I avoid with these injectors?

Avoid nitromethane and any fuel blended with ethers such as MTBE, ETBE or TAME, which Injector Dynamics does not rate the 2600 for. Methanol, ethanol and all known hydrocarbon fuels are within the rating, and E85 is the usual choice for big turbo street builds.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID2600-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors with 14mm Top and 14mm Lower O-Ring, Set of 5

Injector Dynamics’ ID2600-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors come as a set of five here, the configuration Injector Dynamics lists for the Ford Focus RS, with a 14mm top adapter and a 14mm lower O-ring on each 48mm body. Five 2600cc/min injectors are a lot of fuel for a five-cylinder Focus RS, so the case for them is a big-turbo car that has moved to E85 or methanol. On the factory turbo and pump gasoline the injectors are oversized, and a smaller flow class keeps more pulse width at idle. Injector Dynamics flow matches all five together with Dual Slope Matching.

Configuration

This is the 48mm body with a 14mm top adapter and a 14mm lower O-ring, supplied as five. Injector Dynamics describes the Focus RS fitment as Mk II to IV, while the Focus ZX3, SVT and an earlier RS listing use the 60mm length instead.

Features

Highest flow rate of any injector Bosch offers, about 50 percent more than the ID1700x
Dual Slope Matching in both the linear and non-linear range for consistent short pulse widths
Long-term ethanol and methanol compatibility alongside all known hydrocarbon fuels

Specifications

Nominal flow: 2600cc/min
Maximum differential fuel pressure: 9.0 bar (130.5 psi)
Minimum voltage: 11 volts
Fuel compatibility: Methanol, ethanol, all known hydrocarbons; not ethers or nitromethane
Electrical connector: USCAR
Body length: 48mm
Top: 14mm adapter
Lower: 14mm O-ring

What’s Included

ID2600-XDS fuel injectors with 14mm top adapters fitted (x5)

Applications

Injector Dynamics lists the ID2600-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors in this configuration for:

Ford Focus RS: Mk II-IV

Notes

The injectors carry USCAR plugs, so an engine wired for Denso connectors needs the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso PnP Adapter, while EV1 and OBD2 Honda wiring takes adapters sold separately
Earlier Focus models on the Injector Dynamics list, including the ZX3 and SVT, use the 60mm length
Fit only with a tuner ready to recalibrate the ECU from the published Injector Dynamics characterization data

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
