Will this set fit a 2013 to 2017 Viper?

No. Injector Dynamics lists the 2013 to 2017 Viper with a gold bottom adapter, and the 2003 to 2007 car with a 60mm body. This set, with a 14mm bottom adapter on a 48mm body, is listed for the 2008 to 2010 Viper only, so check the model year before ordering.

What is the bottom adapter for?

The 14mm bottom adapter extends the lower end of the 48mm injector to match the lower bore of the 2008 to 2010 Viper. It comes fitted, so the injectors are ready to install, and the top end carries a 14mm adapter for the fuel rail.

Are the ID2600-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors worth it on a naturally aspirated Viper?

No. The ID2600-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors are sized for a boosted V10 on E85 or methanol. A naturally aspirated Viper on gasoline would run them at very short pulses for no benefit, and a smaller Injector Dynamics flow class in the same configuration suits that car better.

Does the Viper need a retune for these?

Yes. The ECU must be loaded with the Injector Dynamics characterization data for the 2600, covering flow, offset and short pulse behavior. The offset is 605 microseconds at 43.5 psi and 12 volts. Ten injectors at this size need accurate data to keep idle and light throttle smooth.

How do the injectors connect electrically?

The injectors use USCAR connectors. If the Viper wiring has a different plug style, Injector Dynamics plug and play adapters connect them without cutting wires, sold separately. Injector Dynamics also specifies a minimum of 11 volts at the injector for the 2600.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID2600-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors with 14mm Top and 14mm Bottom Adapter, Set of 10

Injector Dynamics’ ID2600-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors in a set of ten, each fitted with a 14mm top adapter and a 14mm bottom adapter, are the configuration Injector Dynamics lists for the 2008-2010 Dodge Viper. The 8.4L V10 only calls for 2600cc/min per injector once it has been supercharged or turbocharged and moved to E85 or methanol. On a naturally aspirated Viper, even with headers and a tune, the set is oversized and a smaller flow class is easier to idle. Dual Slope Matching keeps all ten injectors matched in the short pulse range used at idle.

Configuration

The 14B code is the 14mm bottom adapter, fitted to each 48mm body along with a 14mm top adapter. Other Viper years use different setups on the Injector Dynamics list: a 60mm body for 2003-2007, a blue bottom adapter for 1996-2002 and a gold bottom adapter for 2013-2017.

Features

Developed with Bosch Motorsport for liquid fuels, with corrosion-resistant internals
Highest flow rate of any injector Bosch offers, about 50 percent more than the ID1700x
Dual Slope Matching in both the linear and non-linear range for consistent short pulse widths

Specifications

Nominal flow: 2600cc/min
Maximum differential fuel pressure: 9.0 bar (130.5 psi)
Minimum voltage: 11 volts
Fuel compatibility: Methanol, ethanol, all known hydrocarbons; not ethers or nitromethane
Electrical connector: USCAR
Body length: 48mm
Top: 14mm adapter
Lower: 14mm bottom adapter

What’s Included

ID2600-XDS fuel injectors with 14mm top adapters and 14mm bottom adapters fitted (x10)

Applications

Injector Dynamics lists the ID2600-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors in this configuration for:

Dodge Viper: 2008-2010 | 8.4L V10

Notes

USCAR connectors are fitted; engines wired with Denso, EV1 or OBD2 plugs need plug-and-play adapters, sold separately, and for Denso wiring see the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso PnP Adapter
14mm bottom adapters come fitted to each injector for the 2008-2010 Viper
Injector Dynamics specifies a minimum of 11 volts for the ID2600-XDS, so check supply voltage at the injectors
The engine must be retuned for these injectors with the Injector Dynamics characterization data before it is driven

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
