Are the injectors plug and play on a Huracan or R8?

No, not on their own. The ID1750-XDS Injector Set uses a USCAR electrical connector, and both the Huracan and the second generation R8 use Denso injector plugs, so a set of USCAR to Denso adapters is needed. Those adapters are not included. The injectors are otherwise vehicle specific, with 14mm top adapters and 14mm lower O-rings to suit the factory fuel rails.

Do I need an ECU tune after fitting the ID1750-XDS Injector Set?

Yes. The engine management calculates fuel delivery from injector data such as offset, flow rate and short pulse adders, and the ID1750-XDS differs from the factory injector on all three. Injector Dynamics publishes characterization data for the 1750, and the tuner loads it into the calibration. Plan the injectors and the tune as a single job rather than fitting one before the other.

Do these injectors also fit the Audi R8?

Yes, the second generation R8 V10. Injector Dynamics lists the Lamborghini Huracan and the Audi R8 against the same set because both cars use the same 5.2 liter V10. First generation R8 and Gallardo fitment is not listed by Injector Dynamics, so this set should not be ordered for either of those cars.

What is the real flow rate of a 1750 injector?

Injector Dynamics rates the ID1750-XDS at 1728cc per minute at 3.0 bar, or 43.5 psi, measured on E10 emissions certification fuel at 49C. The 1750 in the name is a rounded class figure. Maximum differential fuel pressure is 7.0 bar, or 101.5 psi, and Injector Dynamics also publishes dynamic flow data across a range of battery voltages for tuning.

Can I run E85 with these injectors?

Yes. Injector Dynamics rates the ID1750-XDS for ethanol, methanol, MTBE, nitromethane and all known hydrocarbon fuels. E85 needs substantially more fuel volume than pump gasoline for the same power, which is the main reason Huracan and R8 owners step up to this injector size. The fuel pump and the calibration must be sized for the same fuel.

Is there a warranty, and are the injectors matched?

Injector Dynamics gives a one year warranty against manufacturer defects, provided the injectors run on the correct fuel with proper filtration. The injectors are flow matched as a complete set, so a single replacement should be arranged through Injector Dynamics support rather than bought separately, which keeps the cylinder to cylinder balance intact.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID1750-XDS Injector Set for LB724 Lamborghini Huracan and 4S Audi R8 V10

Injector Dynamics’ ID1750-XDS Injector Set for LB724 Lamborghini Huracan and 4S Audi R8 V10 is the fuel side of a serious 5.2 V10 build, flow-matched injectors rated at 1728cc/min at 43.5 psi for cars being taken well past factory output on boost or ethanol. The Huracan and the second-generation R8 share the same V10, which is why one set covers both. Injector Dynamics developed the 1750 as the successor to its ID1700, adding dynamic flow at the top of the range without raising the minimum fuel mass, so short-pulse control at idle and light load is not traded away for headroom. It is rated for gasoline, ethanol and methanol alike. On a stock or lightly modified car it is more injector than the engine will use; it belongs on the car that already has a turbo system, a flex-fuel plan and a tuner lined up.

Fitting and Calibration

These injectors are not plug-and-play on their own. The ID1750-XDS carries a USCAR electrical connector, while the Huracan and Gen 2 R8 harness uses Denso injector plugs, so a set of USCAR-to-Denso adapters is needed and is not part of this set. A change of this size also means a recalibration. Injector Dynamics publishes characterization data for each injector, the offset, flow and short-pulse adder tables, and that data is what your tuner loads so fueling stays accurate from idle to redline. Builds at this level normally pair the injectors with an uprated fuel pump system, because the factory pump is not sized for the power they support.

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics designs and tests fuel injectors for motorsport and high-output road engines. The company builds its own flow test equipment, including a NIST-traceable flow prover, is an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, and supplied the emissions-compliant injectors Noble Automotive used on the twin-turbo M600. Its injectors are sold in flow-matched sets, with published characterization data for tuners.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
