Will the ID1750-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors fit an Audi RS3?

No. Injector Dynamics lists the Audi RS3 and TTRS five cylinder under a 34mm body, while the ID1750-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors in this set are the full 60mm length with a 14mm lower O-ring. Order the 34mm configuration for those cars, and use this set only where your rail takes a 60mm injector.

Why would I need a set of five?

A five cylinder engine needs one injector per cylinder, and flow matched sets are supplied in the count the engine uses. Injector Dynamics matches the five injectors to each other, so ordering an exact set avoids mixing injectors from different matched groups and keeps fueling even across the engine.

What does my tuner need to set up five of these injectors?

The Injector Dynamics characterization data for the ID1750-XDS. It describes flow, offset and short pulse width behaviour across voltage and pressure, so the five can be modelled correctly in the calibration of a turbo five cylinder, leaving the session free for boost and timing.

Is a set of five 1750s overkill for my engine?

Yes, unless the engine is turbocharged or on ethanol. At 1728cc per minute each, they are sized for big power on E85 or methanol. A mildly tuned five cylinder on gasoline is better served by the ID1050-XDS, which flows 1065cc per minute and handles up to 10 bar.

What warranty covers a set of five?

Injector Dynamics covers manufacturer defects for one year from purchase, conditional on correct fuel and proper filtration. The five are flow matched as a group, so a replacement for one comes through Injector Dynamics, which also offers cleaning, inspection and flow testing at its facility in Arizona.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID1750-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors with 14mm Top and 14mm Lower O-Ring, Set of 5

Injector Dynamics’ ID1750-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors in a set of five suit five-cylinder engines whose rail and manifold take a 60mm injector with a 14mm top and a 14mm lower O-ring. Injector Dynamics publishes no vehicle for this exact count, so the set is for owners who already know their dimensions. With 1728cc/min per injector, it backs a turbocharged five on E85 or methanol. A five-cylinder on gasoline with stock boost will not need this much fuel.

Configuration

The purple 14mm top adapter and 14mm lower O-ring are the same seals Injector Dynamics uses on its four, six and eight injector 60mm sets for BMW, Ford and GM engines. It lists the Audi RS3 and TTRS five-cylinder under a 34mm configuration, so check the body length before ordering.

Features

Five purple 14mm top adapters with 14mm lower O-rings
Successor to the ID1700, adding dynamic flow with no increase in minimum fuel mass
Flow matched as a set, with characterization data published for the tuner

Specifications

Nominal flow: 1728cc/min at 3.0 bar (43.5 psi), E10 certification fuel at 49C (120F)
Maximum differential fuel pressure: 7.0 bar (101.5 psi)
Offset: 1169 microseconds at 43.5 psi and 12 volts
Electrical connector: USCAR
Body length: 60mm
Top: 14mm adapter (purple)
Lower: 14mm O-ring

What’s Included

ID1750-XDS fuel injectors with purple 14mm top adapters and 14mm lower O-rings (x5)

Applications

Injector Dynamics does not publish a vehicle list for this configuration; it fits fuel systems built for a 60mm injector with 14mm top and 14mm lower O-ring.

Notes

The ID1750-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors in a set of five have no published vehicle list; the Audi RS3 and TTRS take the 34mm version instead
The injectors use USCAR plugs, so engines with Denso, EV1 or Honda OBD2 connectors need plug-and-play adapters, which are not included; the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso PnP Adapter covers Denso wiring
Plan a tune alongside the install, since the calibration needs the published Injector Dynamics flow and offset data

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
