Does this set fit the E46 M3?

Yes. Injector Dynamics lists this six injector configuration for the 2001 to 2006 E46 M3, along with the 350Z, G35, Nissan Patrol and the Porsche 996 and 997.1 Turbo. A supercharged or turbocharged S54 on ethanol is the kind of build it is sized for.

Will these fit a 997.2 Turbo?

No. Injector Dynamics lists this part number for the 996 Turbo and the 997.1 Turbo only. The 997.2 Turbo is not included in that listing, so it should not be assumed to take this configuration. Contact Injector Dynamics if you are unsure which injector your engine uses.

Are the ID1750-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors a good choice for a twin turbo 350Z on E85?

Yes. The ID1750-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors flow 1728cc per minute each and are rated for ethanol, so a turbo VQ35 on E85 has room to grow. Minimum fuel mass is unchanged from the ID1700, which keeps idle and light throttle manageable once calibrated.

Do these need a new calibration?

Yes. The engine management has to be updated with the flow rate, offset and short pulse data for the 1750, which Injector Dynamics publishes. Without that update the ECU would keep metering fuel for the old injectors, and every operating point from idle to full load would be wrong.

How does the warranty work for a matched set?

Injector Dynamics warrants the injectors for one year from purchase against manufacturer defects, as long as they run correct fuel with proper filtration. The six are flow matched, so a failed injector is replaced through Injector Dynamics to keep the set balanced. Injector Dynamics also cleans and flow tests injectors in Arizona.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID1750-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors with 14mm Top and 14mm Lower O-Ring, Set of 6

Injector Dynamics’ ID1750-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors fill this set of six, each with a grey 14mm top adapter and a 14mm lower O-ring, for six-cylinder engines ranging from the E46 M3 to the Porsche 996 and 997.1 Turbo. Injector Dynamics also lists it for the Nissan 350Z, Infiniti G35 and Nissan Patrol. At 1728cc/min per injector it is meant for forced induction and ethanol: a turbo VQ35, a supercharged S54 or a 996 Turbo with bigger turbochargers on E85. A naturally aspirated engine on gasoline would use a fraction of it.

Configuration

Each 48mm body carries a grey 14mm top adapter and seals in the intake on a 14mm O-ring. Six injectors make one set, flow matched together by Injector Dynamics.

Features

Six 48mm injectors, grey 14mm top adapters, 14mm lower O-rings
1728cc/min each at 3.0 bar on E10 certification fuel
Higher dynamic flow than the ID1700 without raising minimum fuel mass
Rated for ethanol, methanol and nitromethane

Specifications

Nominal flow: 1728cc/min at 3.0 bar (43.5 psi), E10 certification fuel at 49C (120F)
Maximum differential fuel pressure: 7.0 bar (101.5 psi)
Offset at 43.5 psi: 1169 microseconds at 12 volts
Electrical connector: USCAR
Body length: 48mm
Top: 14mm adapter (grey)
Lower: 14mm O-ring

What’s Included

ID1750-XDS fuel injectors with 14mm top adapters fitted (x6)

Applications

Injector Dynamics lists the ID1750-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors in this configuration for:

BMW M3: E46 | 2001-2006
Infiniti: G35
Nissan: 350Z and Patrol
Porsche 911 Turbo: 996 and 997.1

Notes

USCAR connectors only, so Denso-plug wiring needs the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso PnP Adapter, and EV1 or OBD2 wiring needs the matching Injector Dynamics adapter
For Porsche, Injector Dynamics lists the 996 and 997.1 Turbo; later Turbo engines are not covered by this part number
Fueling must be recalibrated with the Injector Dynamics characterization data for the 1750

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
