Why is this a set of five?

Because the Mk II Focus RS uses a five cylinder engine, and a set must supply one injector per cylinder. Injector Dynamics flow matches all five together. Confirm that your engine takes five 48mm injectors with 14mm top and lower seals before you place the order.

How much fuel can the ID1750-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors supply?

Each of the ID1750-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors flows 1728cc per minute at 3.0 bar on E10 certification fuel at 49C, with a maximum differential pressure of 7.0 bar. Real delivery depends on your pressure, fuel and duty cycle, so your tuner should confirm the margin for your power goal.

Yes. Injector Dynamics rates the 1750 for ethanol, methanol, MTBE, nitromethane and all known hydrocarbon fuels. E85 calls for roughly a third more fuel volume than gasoline at the same power, which is why ethanol builds usually move up to an injector of this size.

Does the Focus need a tune for these injectors?

Yes. The ECU needs the flow, offset and short pulse data for the 1750 in place of the factory injector values. Injector Dynamics publishes this characterization data, and a tuner uses it to build a calibration that keeps idle, cruise and full boost fueling correct.

What warranty applies?

One year from purchase against manufacturer defects, conditional on running the correct fuel with proper filtration. Because the five injectors are flow matched, Injector Dynamics supplies any single replacement directly. It also offers an injector cleaning, inspection and flow test service in Arizona.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID1750-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors with 14mm Top and 14mm Lower O-Ring, Set of 5

Injector Dynamics’ ID1750-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors in a set of five are listed by Injector Dynamics for the Ford Focus RS, with a grey 14mm top adapter and a 14mm lower O-ring on each 48mm body. Five injectors make a full set for the five-cylinder Mk II RS. At 1728cc/min per injector this is fuel for a big-turbo or E85 five-cylinder, and a stock RS on gasoline is nowhere near needing it.

Configuration

Five 48mm injectors, each with a grey 14mm top adapter and a 14mm lower O-ring. The 1750 has better cylinder-to-cylinder balance at low pulsewidths than the ID1700, which helps keep all five cylinders even at idle.

Features

Set of five 48mm injectors with grey 14mm top adapters
14mm lower O-ring on each injector
Rated for methanol, ethanol, MTBE, nitromethane and hydrocarbon fuels
Published offset data: 1169 microseconds at 43.5 psi and 12 volts

Specifications

Nominal flow: 1728cc/min at 3.0 bar (43.5 psi), E10 certification fuel at 49C (120F)
Maximum differential fuel pressure: 7.0 bar (101.5 psi)
Offset at 43.5 psi: 1169 microseconds at 12 volts
Electrical connector: USCAR
Body length: 48mm
Top: 14mm adapter (grey)
Lower: 14mm O-ring

What’s Included

ID1750-XDS fuel injectors with 14mm top adapters fitted (x5)

Applications

Injector Dynamics lists the ID1750-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors in this configuration for:

Ford Focus RS: Mk II to Mk IV

Notes

Each injector has a USCAR plug and no adapters are supplied; Denso wiring needs the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso PnP Adapter
Injector Dynamics lists the Focus RS from Mk II to Mk IV for this part number; confirm your engine takes five 48mm injectors with 14mm seals before ordering
A recalibration built on the Injector Dynamics flow and offset data is required after fitting

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
