Is this the right set for an Evo X?

Yes. Injector Dynamics lists this four injector configuration, with a 14mm top and a black 14mm bottom adapter on a 48mm body, for the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X. Earlier Evo generations are not part of that listing, so check your car before ordering.

Why does the Evo X set use a bottom adapter?

The 14mm bottom adapter fitted to the 48mm body matches the injector to the Evo X intake, as specified by Injector Dynamics for this car. It arrives installed, and on the 48mm body it is black, which makes this set easy to tell from the plain O-ring versions.

Will the ID1750-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors handle flex fuel on a 4B11?

Yes. The ID1750-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors are rated for ethanol, methanol and all known hydrocarbon fuels, so any blend up to E85 is within their rating. A flex fuel setup still needs a calibration that adjusts fueling for ethanol content, and the pump must be sized for E85.

Do I need to change the tune?

Yes. The ECU must be calibrated with the Injector Dynamics data for the 1750, including flow rate, offset and short pulse values, before the car is driven. A 1728cc per minute injector running on the factory injector settings would badly over fuel the engine.

What does the warranty cover on this Evo set?

Injector Dynamics covers the set against manufacturer defects for one year from purchase when it runs correct fuel with proper filtration. The four injectors are flow matched, so a replacement comes from Injector Dynamics directly, and the company also offers cleaning and flow testing in Arizona.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID1750-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors with 14mm Top and 14mm Bottom Adapter, Set of 4

Injector Dynamics’ ID1750-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors in this set of four are configured for the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X, with a grey 14mm top adapter and a black 14mm bottom adapter on each 48mm body. Injector Dynamics lists the Evo X as the application. At 1728cc/min per injector the set is the choice for a big-turbo 4B11 or an Evo X running E85, and more than a stock-turbo car on gasoline will use.

Configuration

The black 14mm bottom adapter comes fitted to each injector for the Evo X intake, and the grey 14mm top adapter matches the rail. The 1750 carries the same minimum fuel mass as the ID1700, so a calibrated Evo keeps a steady idle on the larger injector.

Features

Four 48mm injectors with grey 14mm tops and black 14mm bottom adapters
Flows 1728cc/min at 3.0 bar
Compatible with E85, methanol, MTBE and nitromethane
Better low-pulsewidth balance across cylinders than the ID1700

Specifications

Nominal flow: 1728cc/min at 3.0 bar (43.5 psi), E10 certification fuel at 49C (120F)
Maximum differential fuel pressure: 7.0 bar (101.5 psi)
Offset at 43.5 psi: 1169 microseconds at 12 volts
Electrical connector: USCAR
Body length: 48mm
Top: 14mm adapter (grey)
Lower: 14mm bottom adapter (black)

What’s Included

ID1750-XDS fuel injectors with 14mm top and bottom adapters fitted (x4)

Applications

Injector Dynamics lists the ID1750-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors in this configuration for:

Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution: Evo X

Notes

Plugs are USCAR; Denso wiring takes the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso PnP Adapter, and EV1 or OBD2 adapters are made by Injector Dynamics
The black 14mm bottom adapters are installed on the injectors for the Evo X
Recalibrate the ECU using the Injector Dynamics flow, offset and short pulse data before driving

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
