What is the WRX-16B bottom adapter for?

It adapts the 14mm lower end of the 48mm injector to the 16mm bore used on these Subaru engines. Injector Dynamics fits it to the set, so the injectors seal in the intake without separate adapters. The 11mm top adapter handles the fuel rail side of the installation.

Does this set fit the 2004 to 2006 STi?

No. Injector Dynamics lists this configuration for the 2007 to 2020 STi, the 2002 to 2014 WRX and the 2007 to 2011 Legacy GT and Forester XT. The 2004 to 2006 STi has its own listing as a top feed conversion set, so check the year before ordering.

Will the ID1750-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors run on E85 in an EJ?

Yes. The ID1750-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors are rated for ethanol, methanol, MTBE, nitromethane and all known hydrocarbon fuels, so E85 is well within their range. An EJ on E85 needs roughly a third more fuel volume than on gasoline, so size the pump along with the injectors.

Yes. The factory calibration assumes the stock injectors, and a 1728cc per minute injector changes fueling at every pulse width. Your tuner loads the Injector Dynamics characterization data for the 1750, including the offset and short pulse values, before the car is driven under load.

Are the four injectors matched to each other?

Yes. Injector Dynamics flow matches each set of four, and a single replacement comes through Injector Dynamics to keep that match. The warranty is one year from purchase against manufacturer defects with the correct fuel and proper filtration, and a cleaning and flow test service is available in Arizona.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID1750-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors with 11mm Top and WRX-16B Bottom Adapter, Set of 4

Injector Dynamics’ ID1750-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors in this four-injector set carry an 11mm top and the WRX-16B bottom adapter, which steps the 14mm lower end out to 16mm for Subaru intake bores. Injector Dynamics lists it for the 2002-2014 WRX, the 2007-2020 STi and the 2007-2011 Legacy GT and Forester XT. At 1728cc/min per injector it is sized for an EJ on E85 or a big single turbo, and far beyond what a stock-turbo car on gasoline will use.

Configuration

The WRX-16B bottom adapter is fitted to the 48mm body and converts the 14mm lower seal to the 16mm size the Subaru intake takes. The top is an 11mm adapter.

WRX-16B bottom adapter fitted, stepping the lower seal from 14mm to 16mm
Flows 1728cc/min at 3.0 bar on E10 certification fuel
Rated for ethanol, methanol and nitromethane along with gasoline
No increase in minimum fuel mass over the ID1700

Specifications

Nominal flow: 1728cc/min at 3.0 bar (43.5 psi), E10 certification fuel at 49C (120F)
Maximum differential fuel pressure: 7.0 bar (101.5 psi)
Offset at 43.5 psi: 1169 microseconds at 12 volts
Electrical connector: USCAR
Body length: 48mm
Top: 11mm adapter
Lower: WRX-16B bottom adapter (14mm to 16mm)

What’s Included

ID1750-XDS fuel injectors with 11mm top and WRX-16B bottom adapters fitted (x4)

Applications

Injector Dynamics lists the ID1750-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors in this configuration for:

Subaru Legacy GT and Forester XT: 2007-2011
Subaru WRX: 2002-2014
Subaru WRX STi: 2007-2020

Notes

The injectors have USCAR plugs; a Denso-wired car needs the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso PnP Adapter, and EV1 or OBD2 adapters are available from Injector Dynamics
The WRX-16B bottom adapters come fitted and adapt the 14mm lower end to the 16mm Subaru intake bore
Have the ECU recalibrated with the Injector Dynamics data for the 1750 before driving

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. In short, prices may change without notice. It is always advised to give us a call prior to placing your order online to confirm availability and to confirm current pricing.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
