Which engines is this four injector set listed for?

Injector Dynamics lists this part number for the third generation EA888 four cylinder in Audi and Volkswagen models. Before ordering, pull one factory injector and confirm it uses a 34mm body with 14mm seals at the top and bottom, because a mismatch in length or seal size will not seal in the rail.

Why is there no adapter on top of these injectors?

The 34mm body is the short version of the ID1750-XDS and seals with a 14mm O-ring directly at the top, so no adapter is used. Longer 48mm and 60mm bodies use top adapters to reach 11mm or 14mm rail sockets, which is why the length must match your engine.

Can the ID1750-XDS 34mm Fuel Injectors run on E85?

Yes. Injector Dynamics rates the ID1750-XDS 34mm Fuel Injectors for ethanol, methanol, MTBE, nitromethane and every known hydrocarbon fuel. E85 needs roughly a third more fuel volume than gasoline for the same power, so the pump and the calibration have to be sized for ethanol too.

Will my EA888 run properly without a new tune?

No. The ECU calculates fuel from the injector flow rate and its offset, and a 1728cc per minute injector is very different from the factory part. Injector Dynamics publishes full characterization data for the 1750, and your tuner needs to load it before the car is driven.

What happens if one injector fails under warranty?

Injector Dynamics warrants the 1750 for one year from purchase against manufacturer defects, provided it runs the correct fuel with proper filtration. The four injectors are flow matched, so a replacement is arranged through Injector Dynamics. The company also runs a cleaning, inspection and flow test service in Arizona.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID1750-XDS 34mm Fuel Injectors with 14mm Top and Lower O-Rings, Set of 4

Injector Dynamics’ ID1750-XDS 34mm Fuel Injectors in this set of four use the short 34mm body with no top adapter, sealing on 14mm O-rings at both ends. Injector Dynamics lists this configuration for the third-generation EA888 in Audi and Volkswagen models, on builds where a bigger turbocharger or an ethanol blend asks for more fuel than the factory injectors were sized to give. Each injector flows 1728cc/min at 3.0 bar on E10 certification fuel. A stock-turbo car on pump gasoline needs nowhere near that; the set earns its place once E85 or a turbo upgrade is in the plan.

Configuration

Without a top adapter, the 14mm top O-ring on the 34mm body seats straight into the rail, and the lower seal is also 14mm. Compare the length and both seal sizes with the injectors you are removing.

Features

Short 34mm body sealing on 14mm O-rings top and bottom
Rated for ethanol, methanol, MTBE, nitromethane and all known hydrocarbon fuels
More dynamic flow than the ID1700 it replaced, with no rise in minimum fuel mass
Flow matched as a set of four

Specifications

Nominal flow: 1728cc/min at 3.0 bar (43.5 psi), E10 certification fuel at 49C (120F)
Maximum differential fuel pressure: 7.0 bar (101.5 psi)
Offset at 43.5 psi: 1169 microseconds at 12 volts
Electrical connector: USCAR
Body length: 34mm
Top: 14mm O-ring, no adapter
Lower: 14mm O-ring

What’s Included

ID1750-XDS fuel injectors with 14mm top and lower O-rings fitted (x4)

Applications

Injector Dynamics lists the ID1750-XDS 34mm Fuel Injectors in this configuration for:

Audi: EA888 Gen 3
Volkswagen: EA888 Gen 3

Notes

The injectors use USCAR connectors; Denso, EV1 and OBD2 wiring needs plug-and-play adapters sold separately, and for Denso plugs see the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso PnP Adapter
The 34mm body takes no top adapter; the 14mm top O-ring seals directly in the fuel rail
An ECU recalibration is required after fitting, using the Injector Dynamics characterization data

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
